Pale Blue Dot Soap Company original and vintage art and designs We started making soaps and lotions because we thought it would be a fun, interesting, and useful adventure in chemistry.

We shared our first couple experimental bars with a few people and we found out that we were pretty good soap makers. We honed our skills and formulas then decided to share them with the rest of the world. We make our soaps out of vegetable oils in small handmade batches with no unnecessary chemicals or detergents. Every product we make is specifically formulated with ingredients that best suit the product's desired result and nothing else.

Working on a sketch of a new map. I always come back to maps! This one is a hybrid of a topographical curve map, an elevation map, and a map of the bodies of water of Georgia. Georgia really does have a very diverse geography and ecology from the mountains to the piedmont to the coastal plains. Where I live in the piedmont, I can be in the mountains in an hour and the beach in 4 1/2 hours 😎🌴🌲

One of our favorite tables to stop at the Athens Farmers Market is 3 Porch Farm. I love bright beautiful blooms but I have a brown thumb so I have to admire flowers grown by those with better skills than mine. And my kids will not leave the Farmers’ Market without getting a 3 Porch fresh strawberry and honey popsicle 🍯🍓🌷🌺💐

I’ve been playing around with the colors on this one. The right is the original yellow and the left is Pantone’s 2018 color of the year, ultra violet. And I have inadvertently made them LSU colors! I still love the sunny yellow, although the deep rich purple is quite striking. Which one is your favorite?

This is one of my favorite botanical prints. It's from a book published in Paris in 1896 that was created to be inspiration for artists when using flowers in their own designs. The botanical representation of a plant was displayed alongside stylized patterns featuring the plant. The trailing vinelike stems, bold yellow flowers, and round leaves of the nasturtuim are beautiful here and in when used to inspire something new.
