I Need This, Antiques Purveyor of antiques, vintage and repurposed pieces and items that just delight. They do not provide food or shelter that we may live.

Why then do we "need this?" Because they make our lives worth living with the joy of the hunt, the successful acquisition, and most of all...the history, the beauty, and the energy these pieces bring from another time and place.

Antique, Iroquois beaded pincushion. These souvenirs began to appear not long after Loyalist Mohawk troops resettled in Canada after the American Revolutionary War and then became popular tourist souvenirs during the Victorian period. This one has lost its velvet fabric plush but the beading is lovely. Circa 1880s-90s. Vendor 256 at RMB's Arts and Antiques

Even dealers have a collection passion and I was thrilled to add a bo***ir, powder box, to my personal American Brilliant Cut Glass collection. I cleaned this bad boy up and got the quad sterling plate shining and it throws rainbows at the slightest light. I may have to obtain the smaller one the same dealer had at Junk Co. where I always seem to find collecting joy.
