I have had so many questions about the new Wildflowers release. I’ve been pretty silent, so I understand the curiosity of those who are used to me being so much a part of releases, as well as the cluelessness of periodic shoppers.
I ask that you stop associating me with the brand. I spent so much time and heart helping to build this brand. I now have nothing left to give. Too many times I’ve covered for a brand I was devoted to. Too many times I invested with the promise that things would get better... and I always believed and trusted the company.
As they continue to market to the customers that we worked so hard to bring them, I have kept very quiet on social media to maintain professionalism. I used to be but very few know the extent of my hurt.
This company used the convenient yet timely excuse of Covid-19 to let us go. Yes, we ALL have suffered in some way from 2020, but we were told back in April that extreme tariffs on items being produced in China, plus the increased cost of shipping, made it impossible for Wildflowers to continue. Period. At the time, I believed in the company that I had invested so much of my time, money and heart into and I did my best to finish out my final weeks with integrity and pride for the business I had personally built.
A big question everyone is asking- will I still buy Wildflowers brand? In April, I said yes... but too much has transpired since. I can no longer support the brand financially. We will wear “vintage” Wildflowers from here on out.
As much as this saddens me, I felt it imperative to explain why I no longer associate with the brand. Many of you became forever friends because of this journey and for that, I am forever grateful. l felt it necessary to share the truth and to thank you for your support over the past 2 years.
