The fixture is new. What about the pole?

An outdoor LED retrofit isn’t always just a head swap.

If the project is reusing an existing pole, there are a few things worth reviewing before installation:

• Mounting configuration
• Fixture load
• Wind exposure / EPA
• Existing site conditions

A new fixture may physically fit the pole and still introduce different loading, mounting, or wind considerations.

That doesn’t mean every existing pole needs to be replaced. It means the pole should be looked at as part of the overall retrofit — especially when the installation, fixture configuration, or site conditions have changed.

Don’t assume the pole works just because the fixture fits.

When needed, involve the pole manufacturer, engineer, or other qualified project professional to confirm suitability.
