Hi, I’m Ty Jester, gunsmith at Wilson Precision LLC. Before anything else, I want to thank God for His blessings and for allowing me to do what I love to support my amazing family.
Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, I was hooked on shooting from the first time I picked up a BB gun. That passion led me to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1998, where I served proudly, including a deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. While in the Corps, I discovered my love for working on crew-served weapons, and that’s where my journey into professional gunsmithing really began.
Since 2004, I’ve built over 600 AK and Galil-style rifles and countless AR platforms. I also hold a degree in Fi****ms Technology from Sonoran Desert Institute and have more than two decades of hands-on experience, from basic repairs to full restorations and complex custom builds. I’ve worked with everything from “bag of parts” puzzles to rare fi****ms without schematics, always aiming to solve the problems others walk away from.
