Hello everyone!!!
I hope y’all have had a blessed Easter!! I hope y’all are staying safe through these storms and most of all through this crazy Covid-19 insanity!! Please, stay home and stay healthy!! Don’t go out unless you absolutely have to!! Now I’m not going to preach anymore on that, because we are all adults and know what we should and shouldn’t do. Enjoy this time to reconnect with your spouse and your children. Check on your parents if they aren’t living or staying with you through this.
I wanted to take a moment and share with you a little of what has been going on in the life at The Salty Pug’s Pad. As most of you know, my mother moved in with us last August. I became her full time caregiver while she was here. At the time Mama has been diagnosed with early stages of dementia along with her other health problems including her autoimmune disease, which we shared. On Christmas Eve my brother had taken Mama to a Drs appointment where everything was great! Her doctor was pleased with how she looked and her labs. He even told her he hadn’t seen her look this good in a very long time. She was seeing her kidney doctor. On the way home she suffered a stroke which hit both sides of her brain. There was no way to see this coming. We really thought she stood a good chance of recovery but it just was too much for her body to fight, the paralysis, then pneumonia my mom had always been a fighter but she had told me just days before this all had happened that she was tired and ready to go home. I know you all will understand my time away. I had to mourn and grieve for my mama. I know this will never stop but I do know it’s time for me to pick up and get busy.
So here I am, picking up the pieces, trying to put life back together with half my heart missing. I have been working just not advertising anything. I will post a few things I’ve done. If you’re ready for shirts, car decals, pictures, cups, let me know!! I need to keep busy!!
Love to all!
