I’ve seen some people asking if the drone giveaway is legit, so I wanted to share a little transparency.

The screenshots here show the DJI Avata 2 Fly Smart Combo purchase ($65/12Monthly) as well as the SweepWidget ($119/Monthly) platform used to run the giveaway. The drone has already been purchased and delivered, and the giveaway system is already paid for. This doesn’t include other costs involved like the website, hosting, and Shopify (Additional $50-$70/Monthly).

The giveaway is live and no purchase is necessary. I am doing this because my followers are awesome and I wanted to give back to you guys. I have no sponsors, I have no partners, I am just a guy who likes to fly and wants to share the experience with others. Good luck!

Hey everyone, I wanted to give you all a quick update. I am still working for the family business, and it looks like I am going to be there full time for now. Things have settled down a bit though, and I am excited to say I finally got my DJI FPV wrapped and put my stickers on it.

I am hoping to get back out flying soon. I just do not know exactly when yet. I also want everyone to know that everybody is doing okay, and I absolutely plan on coming back. I just need a little more time.

Crashed My DJI FPV Into a Tree… It Didn’t Survive — Rest in Pieces 😵

I crashed my DJI FPV directly into a tree—and it didn’t survive. Rest in pieces, my poor baby. The drone was completely totaled, barely even recognizable. I knew it would hit hard, but I didn’t expect it to affect me this much. I had a rough time sleeping last night. I keep asking myself… will the drone remember me? I’ll definitely remember it.

This one meant a lot to me—not just because of the cost, but because of what it represented. I had just bought the giveaway drone, and then this happened. Now I need to buy another one to keep the content going, and yeah… that hurts. But I’ll keep pushing. Making these videos and connecting with all of you gives me purpose, and that means everything.

I’ve already got a new wrap for the next build. It’s not red. I need time before I can fly another red FPV. That drone was special. But I do have plans to potentially revive it by the end of 2026. The original wrap color is rare and not easy to replace.

I want to see it fold up. 😜

YouTuber and inventor behind “I Build Stuff” has revealed Flying Umbrella 2.0 — a fully autonomous, drone-powered umbrella that follows you hands-free.

He spent nearly a full year building it, improving on his 2024 version that required a remote to control.

The new design uses a time-of-flight camera underneath to track the user and create a real-time 3D map. A Raspberry Pi processes the data and tells the flight controller how to adjust the propellers so the umbrella stays directly above you.

It’s built with drone motors, flight stabilization, and 3D-printed parts, plus foldable carbon-fiber nylon arms that pack into a small backpack and lock securely in place.

With improved code and lots of trial and error, the flying umbrella finally works as intended — hands-free rain protection with no umbrella to hold.

FPV flying with Goggles is harder than it looks

FPV flying is way harder than it looks. I personally spent nearly 38 hours in the simulator before I even attempted to fly in full manual mode. This isn’t something you just pick up and wing—it takes patience, precision, and serious respect for what the drone is capable of.

The DJI FPV is a blast to fly, but make no mistake—it’s not a toy. It’s a high-speed drone, and if you're not careful, it can cause serious injury or major property damage. Always fly with caution and stay aware of your surroundings. Safety matters, not just for you, but for everyone around you.

Flying the DJI Potato – And Honestly? It’s Delicious 🥔💨

They call it the DJI Potato... and honestly? It’s delicious. Yeah, it’s heavier, a little chunky, and not exactly built like a race drone—but that’s what makes it fun. I’ve heard all the jokes about its shape and weight, and in this flight, I fully embrace them.

In the video I say it myself: they call it the potato, but potatoes are delicious, so I’m not sure what the insult is supposed to be. This drone rips, and I’m here for every second of it.
