A little peek behind the scenes… 💜✨

This weekend was dedicated to creating the handcrafted sugar flowers for an upcoming wedding cake.

Every rose, hydrangea, and leaf was carefully made petal by petal, bringing together soft ivory tones and delicate shades of lavender to complement her wedding palette beautifully.

Sugar flowers are one of my favorite parts of wedding cake design because they allow me to create something timeless, elegant, and uniquely personal for each couple.

I can’t wait to see these blooms come to life on her wedding cake next weekend. 🌿💜

🎓✨ SCAD Jewelry Design Graduation Cake ✨🎓

This custom cake was created to celebrate a talented Jewelry Design graduate from SCAD and to honor her unique artistic style.

One of the most meaningful elements of this design is the handcrafted edible jewelry featured on the cake. The silver and turquoise pieces were inspired by and recreated from the graduate’s own jewelry designs, showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship she developed throughout her academic journey.

The textured brown fondant draping was designed to resemble tooled leather, reflecting her western-inspired aesthetic and adding a deeply personal touch to the design. To achieve this beautiful effect, I used an embossed mat designed by Cakes by Angela Morrison, which provided the intricate detail and craftsmanship that perfectly complemented the western theme.

This cake was more than a graduation centerpiece—it was a tribute to the artist behind the work and the creative path she has forged.
