💎⛏️ **750 METERS BELOW THE EARTH'S SURFACE… AND I LIVED TO TELL THE STORY!** 😱🙏❤️🇹🇿
Y'all, I STILL can't believe I DID IT! 🙌
What an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience here in Tanzania, Africa!
We traveled approximately **750 METERS (NEARLY 2,500 FEET) BELOW THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH** into the Tanzanite mines!
And let me tell you something… **THIS IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!** 💪
Navigating those steep, man-made stairways and underground passages was NO JOKE! With every step I took, I kept telling myself, **"Lolo, YOU CAN DO THIS!"**….. even with my very short legs… Lol…
And by the grace of God, I DID! 🙏❤️
I discovered a strength within myself that I honestly didn't even know I had. There were moments when I questioned whether I was physically strong enough to complete this journey, but I kept pushing forward!
Now, let me tell you something else! 😂
I went down there with a FULL FACE OF MAKEUP and beautiful curls in my hair!
Well, within MINUTES, my makeup was MELTING! 🤣 By the time I came back up, I didn't have ONE SINGLE CURL LEFT! 😂
And WHY IN THE WORLD DID I DECIDE TO WEAR WHITE?! 🤦♀️🤣
Honey, I came out FILTHY! Covered in graphite, dust, dirt, and who knows what else! My steel-toe boots took a BEATING, and I was absolutely DRENCHED in sweat from head to toe!
**BUT WOULD I DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN? ABSOLUTELY! IN A HEARTBEAT!** ❤️
You see, traveling here to Tanzania may look glamorous from the outside, but let me assure you, there is NOTHING glamorous about going deep underground into these mines!
**IT TAKES BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS!**
And I'm here to tell you, if you're not prepared to break not just a little sweat, but a WHOLE LOT OF SWEAT, honey, DON'T EVEN ATTEMPT IT! 😂💪
I honestly don't know how these incredible miners do this EVERY SINGLE DAY!
It takes tremendous physical strength, courage, determination, optimism, and most importantly, FAITH! 🙏
I have a whole new level of respect and admiration for these hardworking miners. What we experienced was just a small glimpse into what they endure daily to bring one of the world's rarest and most beautiful gemstones to the surface.
And THAT is something I will NEVER forget!
I'm incredibly proud of myself and my amazing teammates for finding the inner strength and determination to complete this journey.
