Adding a band to your reception? That's about four tables.

Every addition to a tent takes its space from something else. A band or DJ, a second bar, a lounge area, a photo booth, a buffet line instead of plated service — each one is a good decision on its own, and each one quietly reduces how many guests fit comfortably in the same tent.

That trade is hard to picture on a list and obvious on a layout.

Our Tent Layout Planner lets you see it. Set the tent size, place the pieces, and watch what happens to your seating when the lounge goes in. It's usually less painful than people expect — but it's much better to know in August than in the week of.

It works for corporate dinners, fundraisers, and festivals too, not just weddings!

It may be hot outside now, but December’s best dates are already being reserved.

Corporate holiday events compete for the same few evenings—and the same tents, flooring, heating and lighting. Starting in late summer gives you more flexibility with the date, format and layout than waiting until October.

For an outdoor or tented event, we’ll begin with the structure: where it goes, how it’s heated and how guests move through the space. Then the design can follow.

Late August through September is when the best outdoor dinners happen.

The light gets better, the evenings cool off, and the food is at its peak, which is why farm dinners, vineyard events, and long-table gatherings land so well this time of year.

These events are usually simpler than a wedding and less forgiving because of it. With no décor to hide behind, the tables, chairs, glassware, and lighting are the design. Sightlines and spacing along a long table matter more than they do at rounds.

Dance floors are one of the easiest parts of a reception to underestimate.

On a layout, the floor is just a square. On event night, it’s where the first dance happens, the photographer works, and a third of your guests may gather once the party gets going.

Too small, and guests constantly rotate on and off. Too large, and the reception can feel emptier than it is. The right size depends on your guest count, how many people are likely to dance, and how the floor fits alongside the bar, tables and entertainment.

Linen colors don't photograph honestly. That's more or less why our showrooms exist!

A screen can't show you how a linen shifts under different lighting, how glassware feels in your hand, or whether two patterns truly work together. Sometimes the combination you loved online falls flat—and sometimes the unexpected pairing is the one.
