Introducing The Peggy Signature Snowball — our most indulgent creation yet. Made with homemade Egg Custard and Toasted Marshmallow, then finished Peggy’s Way with sweet cream and organic marshmallow, it’s a nostalgic treat inspired by tradition and elevated with the gourmet touches that have made The Peggy unlike any other snowball stand.

Grab a snowball, find a shady spot beneath the trees, wander the gardens, and explore the 12 unique shopping spaces of The Margaret Cleveland. From cottage garden inspiration and rare plants to home décor, gifts, art, and treasures around every corner, it’s an experience designed to be savored.

Join us in the gardens this week as we continue celebrating the opening of our 104th season at The Peggy at Walther Gardens. There is truly nothing like enjoying a snowball beneath the trees, strolling the pathways of The Margaret Cleveland, and settling into summer at Baltimore’s most unique garden destination.

Beginning June 1st, we officially launch our Full Summer Hours as the team is out of school and summer at The Peggy fully comes to life.

This season we are especially excited to introduce our newest signature creation, THE PEGGY, our handcrafted signature snowball featuring Homemade Egg Custard and Toasted Marshmallow, finished Peggy’s Way with Homemade Sweet Cream and Organic Marshmallow for the ultimate nostalgic summer dessert experience.

We also debuted our new Cottage Garden Collection — botanical and garden inspired handcrafted snowballs thoughtfully layered and blended together before being poured over ice.

Gourmet Century Snowballs | The Country’s Oldest Snowball Stand

As we enter our 4th season stewarding and reimagining this Baltimore institution, we are beyond excited to officially kick off the 104th year of The Peggy at The Margaret Cleveland, Walther Gardens.

What began over a century ago as a simple neighborhood snowball stand has become something deeply personal to us, blending history, nostalgia, cottage garden charm, and thoughtfully crafted snowballs made with real ingredients and a whole lot of heart.

This season we are especially excited to introduce our new Garden Creations Snowballs, inspired by the beauty of the gardens surrounding The Peggy and the feeling of summer afternoons spent wandering through blooms. Floral, botanical, fresh, and unlike anything you have experienced from a snowball stand before.

Alongside these new creations, we’ll of course continue serving our Classic Homemade Egg Custard, the iconic Baltimore flavor originally created right here inside the historic 1885 farmhouse by Mrs. Sinsz herself.

We are also thrilled to continue serving our Organic Marshmallow by Toonie Moonie, the perfectly nostalgic finishing touch that has quickly become a Peggy favorite.

And this year, we are adding another beloved tradition into the mix… Peggy’s Sweet Cream.

Inspired by the iconic New Orleans staple, Peggy’s Sweet Cream can be added to any snowball to create an extra rich, velvety, creamy finish that perfectly melts into the ice and transforms the entire experience.
