Remembering this piece as I’m in the place denim jeans were mass produced. This dinner party was so beautiful and fun.

When creating these dinner menus, we had a hard time deciding which side should be prominent… should we use the velvet or the denim for the front…
Ultimately we liked the peek of denim in the back but what do you think?

It was important to me the wax seal didn’t destroy the paper or artwork to this piece when removed by guest… because I know they all expected it to. I love a little twist.
I think this is an wedding invitations that people will remember.

When I noticed guest taking home their menus, I was overwhelmed. It told me the design, both of the menu and overall event design by , evoked enough emotion for these menus to be perceived as valuable. A temporary object stopped feeling temporary.

I use wedding stationery as an artistic medium.
I approached this piece like an installation. Thinking about the story, and how it would take shape. Letting the materials speak and be authentic. The function of conveying information came second for every piece of stationery for A&N. I was able to create something that existed for one night, for a special group of people, celebrating together. The line between event design and fine art is thinner than people realize.
I love my job so much. Thank you for trusting me and giving me artistic freedom
