This weekend I will be putting out a final set of 50 free comic books for people to find.

I began this project last September, with the goal of giving away more than 4,000 comics from my personal collection. The majority have been distributed at local parks and other locations around town. I also donated several hundred each to Lee College, Fred Aguilar Promise Center and Art Center of Baytown, for them to share with students and customers.

I hope everyone has enjoyed this little adventure. It's been great seeing so many smiling faces of young people who found some of the comics. That's what it's all about.

In addition to leaving free comic books at Baytown parks and other locations for anyone to find, we've donated several hundred comics to non-profit organizations in the community. Among those is the Fred Aguilar Promise Center, which provides activities and learning opportunities for local youth. We're happy to support their efforts with some fun reading materials.
