Hi! I’m Sara McNitt, owner of Nitt Picky Quilt Studio. I have been a quilter for quite a few years and recently decided to add longarm quilter to my list. I will take that quilt top that you’ve had finished, but just didn’t know what to do with and put it all together for you into a finished product. I offer edge to edge (E2E) quilting using my APQS Millie and the Quilt Path system. I have 2 kinds batting in stock. You just need to supply the quilt top and the backing! We will work together to determine the pantograph (design) and thread color(s) that will work best for your project.

Welcome to my studio!

I am blessed to have my own private space to do all my crafty things! You might notice, though, that I do share it with one of my other favorites- my road bike!

My handy husband built me the huge cutting table and figured out how to hang the batting rolls above the door frames so that they are out of the way, but still accessible. We also found a tutorial on making a design wall with foam boards and a flannel sheet.

I need to work on my photography skills, but here are the current top thread colors that I offer.

Lead grey, linen, white, cotton candy
Light grey, cream, military gold, tarheel, lilac
Battleship, yellow whisper, light tan, navy

These are Glide 40 wt polyester spools. Glide offers consistent tension, superior coverage and unmatched strength for flawless results.

There are many, many more colors available! I will work with you to find the perfect color for your project.

I use Glide pre-wound bobbins for my longarm and stock these 6 neutral colors that tend to work with most everything.
Lead grey. Cream.
Light Grey. Light Tan.
Navy. White.

Pre-wound bobbins offer more stitches per bobbin, help reduce defects and increase productivity. There are a few other color options if these don’t work for you.
