There’s an anxiety to this moment - our dwindling purchasing power, our neighbors being abducted daily, a fortress being erected in dc…

It is a moment that amplifies how much your purchases matter: where you put your dollars translates to what will make it thru. On the flip side, we have opportunities to starve the big bizzes that leech us and give nothing back but a smiling greenwash.

Against this backdrop, I am so grateful for our incredible customers. When we began this work 10 years ago, the industry seemed quite literally whitewashed. Filling up orders, we looked down on a sea of buckets: 75% white, 25% blush.

And now?? A freaking RAINBOW. I am so excited every day to keep exploring plants and color with y’all. It is a gift to be in a moment where I know someone will appreciate the cool flower I tracked down seed for, the weird color combos, the native plants that got me started.

Thanks to all the artists for working with us. I am continually inspired by what you are bringing into this world 💖💖💖

Eeeeesh. We are blooming hard and heavy this week! Barely getting a chance to share with y’all!

In the past 7 days, we’ve planted 50% more dahlias than last year, delivered 5 carts of flowers to , vended at the plant sale in Seattle with bestie (purveyor of the toppest quality mum cuttings), sent out dozens of grocery bouquets, mailed tuber orders, propagated more mums, sowed more seeds, transplanted lizzies and sunnies, weeeeeeeded, mowed and spread manure, set up loads of irrigation, and cut so many flowers. And we’re still chugging along 🤪

A huge thank you to all the florists and grocery flowerers and tuber buyers and bulk bucket purchasers and plant sale pop-ins!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping our team keep doing this work 💞💞💞

Y’all, I know it’s the day after TDOV, but as my friend told me, part of farming is guilting yourself about arriving late to self-imposed deadlines. So! Shout out to my trans friends and not-yet-friends and folk I get to witness at a distance: I am up to the gills grateful to be in a better, freer, more gorgg world bc of you and I hope you’re getting crowned with flowers in reality or metaphor somewhere and soon. Thank god y’all exist, my world would be thru a sadder, greyer filter without you 🤍💗🩵
