Before summer ended, Rem and I made her back to school banner together. 💕 The perfectionist in me really struggled to let go and give her creative control. Then it dawned on me that I was completely losing the plot.
This banner was for HER! Celebrating HER accomplishments and new adventures! Making memories and watching HER create something SHE would be proud of was wayyyyyy more important than clean lines and blended paint. 🥰
Parenting is all about passing lessons on to your kids, but it's pretty damn cool when they reverse the role and remind you of a lesson or two.

So here's your literal sign that it's not always about the finished product. It's ok to take a step back and soak up the moment. 🥰

And no, I don't want to talk about the fact that I have a kindergartener. I'm still in denial. 🥹

This was a fun one! 🧡 I was so excited to paint Smokey, the University of Tennessee mascot!
What made it even better was that this was for one of our favorite teachers at daycare!

I might have missed back to school signs this year, but I'm not missing homecoming proposals! Low key bummed this wasn't a thing when I was in highschool.

I would love to help make this year memorable with a handpainted sign. I threw together a few of my own ideas and mixed in some tried and true cuties. 🪿🩵
