Iā€™m not going to pretend I donā€™t use AIā€”I do, and I think it can be a very useful tool when used appropriately.

Iā€™ve used it to remove photo backgrounds, strip existing designs from products so I can use them as clean bases for previews, and support other parts of my creative process.

What I wonā€™t do is use AI to fully generate a product image and then sell something I canā€™t actually reproduce.

I create machine-embroidered gifts and keepsakes, and machine embroidery has real limitations. There are stitches, textures, and effects that AI can imagine but a machine simply cannot replicate. If I canā€™t take a design from an image and produce it on my machine, I donā€™t believe it should be sold as if I can.

Thatā€™s the line for me: using AI to support what I genuinely make is fine, but not to invent products that donā€™t exist or arenā€™t possible to create.

I want customers to receive exactly what they believe theyā€™re orderingā€”an honest representation of what I can actually produce. AI is a great tool, but it shouldnā€™t replace honesty about whatā€™s being sold.

After more than a month of working behind the scenes, Iā€™m so excited to finally share that Live Preview is coming to Norwood Design Co. āœØ

If you know me, you know I truly love what I do. One of my favorite parts of this business is helping customers create something theyā€™ve dreamed of ā€” selecting designs, colors, fabrics, fonts, and all the little details together until it feels just right. Sometimes that means one mockupā€¦ sometimes it means ten. šŸ˜Š

We live in a world where we all want immediate gratification, and while receiving your custom items still takes time and care, I wanted to create a shopping experience where seeing your vision come to life happens instantly.

With Live Preview, youā€™ll be able to see your design selections in real time ā€” right at your fingertips. My goal is to make the ordering process more enjoyable, more interactive, and more accurate for both you and me. When you finish your selections, your preview turns directly into your order, helping ensure I know exactly what youā€™re envisioning.

Website design and development is definitely a process, and if youā€™ve ever worked on one yourself, you know these things take time to build and get right. I want this feature to be solid before fully rolling it out to everyone.
