⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR OUR CUSTOMERS

Beginning tomorrow, October 1, a new Alabama state excise tax takes effect on consumable v***r products. The new tax is $0.10 for every milliliter of product.

We’ve known this change was coming, and V**er Forge 280 has been preparing.

Over the past several months, we have intentionally stocked heavily ahead of the new tax so that we could delay its impact on our customers rather than changing prices immediately on October 1.

Our price adjustments will begin October 15.

That gives our customers two additional weeks to purchase at current pricing and gives everyone some time to prepare for the change.

When our pricing changes, we are not simply passing the entire burden along to you. V**er Forge 280 will absorb a portion of the increased cost while passing along a portion so that we can continue offering the products, selection and service our customers depend on.

One important thing to understand about this new tax is that it is based on milliliters, not ni****ne strength. That means lower-strength bottled e-liquids are taxed at the same 10¢-per-mL rate as higher-strength products.

Changes like this are also why organizations representing independent businesses and adult consumers are so important.

Organizations like the Alabama H**p and V**e Association (AHVA) continue working with lawmakers and regulators to advocate for more reasonable, responsible regulations that recognize the differences between products and the real-world impact these policies can have on Alabama consumers and small businesses.

That work requires support.

If protecting access to alternative ni****ne products and encouraging sensible regulation matters to you, we encourage you to stay informed and support the organizations willing to show up, speak up and continue doing this work.

For now, V**er Forge 280 pricing remains unchanged through October 14. New pricing on affected e-liquid and ni****ne-containing disposable products begins October 15.

💔 In Loving Memory of Kerri Nichols Garner 💔

There are some people who come into your life through business and somehow, along the way, become part of your family.

For V**er Forge, that person was Kerri Nichols Garner.

Kerri had been with us from the very beginning, for all 13 years of V**er Forge.

She started as our accountant, but somewhere between tax returns, business decisions, long conversations, laughter, and countless stories, she became so much more. She became our dear friend.

And if you knew Kerri, you know there was absolutely no such thing as a boring conversation with her. ❤️

She was funny, wonderfully vibrant, and had an infectious personality that could fill a room. She always had a story to tell, and usually one that left you laughing.

Kerri loved music and the arts with her whole heart. She loved The Beatles and David Bowie, and that passion for creativity extended throughout her life and into her many years of work with Birmingham Artwalk. V**er Forge was proud to sponsor Artwalk for several years, and it meant even more to us because it was something so close to Kerri's heart.

After a short battle with esophageal cancer, we lost someone who has been part of our lives and our business since day one. It happened far too quickly, and we are absolutely devastated.

It is difficult to imagine V**er Forge without Kerri somewhere in the background of it. For 13 years, she watched our little business grow, helped us navigate the hard years, celebrated the good ones, and was simply there.

But what we will miss most has nothing to do with accounting.

We'll miss her stories.
We'll miss her laugh.
We'll miss talking about music and art.
We'll miss that unmistakable Kerri personality.
And most of all, we'll miss our friend.

Our hearts are with everyone who loved her. ❤️

Thank you, Kerri, for 13 years of friendship, laughter, stories, music, art, and memories. You were part of V**er Forge from the very first page of our story, and you always will be.

We love you, Kerri. You will be missed more than words can say. 💔

🚨 THE SENATE HEARD US. NOW ALL EYES ARE ON THE HOUSE.

This weekend brought some genuinely good news for h**p.

The U.S. Senate voted 61–32 to reject an attempt to remove the temporary h**p extension from the government funding bill.

Then the Senate passed the funding package 90–6 — with the h**p extension still in it.

👏 That is a win.

But h**p is NOT saved yet.

The House still has to approve the Senate’s legislation with the h**p extension intact.

If that happens and the bill is signed into law, the federal h**p restrictions currently scheduled to take effect November 12 would be pushed back roughly one month, to December 11.

Is one month enough? No.

But it gives Congress something we desperately need:

⏳ TIME.

Time to work toward a real federal solution that protects consumers, sets responsible standards for this industry, and preserves legal adult access instead of allowing sweeping federal restrictions to take effect.

And here’s the part we don’t want anyone to miss:
