Thank you thank you vicksburghipstoricartfestival for the Legacy award in 3D for my sculptures!
Thanks for taking a chance on something new. 🍾
And thank you to the kind patrons who delved into the stories and purchased my new work!
It’s been a really fun show. 💙

The sculptures will come out again at Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival ! I have a mental list of new work I want to complete between now and then!

Hey Kerry! Pull a whole new medium out of your hat!!

After 14 years of jewelry - last fall my friend Holly said- hey- what if you went big?
I said “Nah. The voices in my head say ‘necklaces’.”
But the voices heard the suggestion.

In case you are wondering how we got here.

I’m in Vicksburg, MS vicksburghipstoricartfestival with a WHOLE BOOTH OF SCULPTURE and not a lick of jewelry.
Less than a year later.

And IF you are wondering what your hands and your brain could take on in the next year.
The right answer is: A LOT.

(I accidentally completed the lid backwards and did some fly by engineering to alter the box so it stands on end instead of laying flat! I kind of love it more)

Another larger piece created from antique church sign letters- using my favorite Emerson quote and my beautiful 50’s burlesque dancer Muse!
I love her so much -and every time I’m adding her imagery to a piece I’m re-inspired to live Boldly.

This piece will be coming with me to vicksburghipstoricartfestival next weekend! This will be my first show with just sculptural pieces! I’m very excited ! and getting the work organized, typing out story tags etc- ahead of schedule!

And!! We have the windows open and a cool breeze in Alabama for the first time in months! Invigorating!
Bring on fall!

I don’t know what to say except- I’m always working on new ideas and sometimes they don’t make it to the social media- sculptures I’ve created in the past weeks that will be coming with me to Finster Fest! Paradise Garden Foundation next weekend!! (Finally- a year is a long time to wait to return!!)

By the time you read this I’ll already be working on three more ideas. And a fourth huge pennant/ and a third Back bones/ and a …..

the imagination is a wonderful place to live- and the delightful itch of a What If- and the joy in scratching that itch- and seeing what results?

Highly encourage it.
