Y’all I was having so much fun playing with a New To Me sculpting medium I totally forgot I promised to have a fresh release!

Details are on the pictures- message me if you need to add a piece to your collection!

A few notes: currently obsessed with this amazing exotic dancer from a 1950s magazine- she is fresh out of you know what’s- and has already made appearances in my sculptures as well. Also I created the tassels using thimbles and ball chain- it has the best shimmy of any tassel I’ve made yet!

Ransom Notes- fresh batch! These were requested- every artist needs one! I love the tongue in cheek aspect of the focals I use - but if they aren’t up your alley- I can offer you a brass locket- or no focal- buyers choice!

The celluloid race horses are a recent find and they have my HEART! (If they don’t sell I’m keeping one)

I had a handful of custom pieces to complete this past week for some clients (thanks yall!!) and while I have the materials handy I will sometimes make a few extra- which is what prompts this afternoon’s jewelry release!

“Jewelry You May Have Missed!!”” Second edition!

As promised but a few days late! I was out to dinner with girlfriends and didn’t want to be in my phone- and then yesterday I was hard at work on a new sculpture series that I am flipping inside out over I love it so much. I can’t wait to share 😂

Back to the jewelry- I went deep into the Archive- (large plastic bin 😂) and dug out “Last ofs” in series that haven’t been posted or even shared at shows in quite some time.
Titles and prices are shown in each image- (except protective eye bracelets- they are $40 and adjustable to any wrist) .
Shipping is $8

And if this archive release is a bust we will pretend it never happened 😂 if it goes swimmingly I’ll do it again in a week or so!
I only have three shows with jewelry this fall! So this is a great opportunity to see the range of stories I have created over the years- you never know which direction the work will go next!

Party earrings are the tiny tins- with real sprinkles and tiny vintage charms and ephemera also sealed! Yes they are light!

“Haints Past and Present Tense”
Came home from Savannah and got to work on a series of three new bottle tree pieces.
This one utilizes another clock case from the clock makers estate sale. The ubiquitous haint blue / sculpted trees / floating transfers of old enamel watch faces drifting in the back ground.
It’s a hanging wall piece so there were some interesting engineering issues getting those tiny antique bottles to stay put! (Available)

I am almost done with a series of animal jewelry pieces I also started in Savannah- I’ll release them Tuesday afternoon! Earrings as well- vintage stamps - tins- show buttons- they turned out beautifully!

And finally- my dip into the archive of jewelry I have in my bin was not a total wash- a good handful of older stories found homes- so I’ll have another release this coming Thursday the 23rd.
I don’t have an art show until September- and I only have three shows that juried jewelry- so sharing some forgotten pieces that haven’t seen the light that often and seeing if they find a connection online is just… good! Thanks y’all

Some of these pieces date back a few years- and may have stopped getting put out at art fairs because they were the end of a series- or because I forgot they were in the bin. But I still think these story pieces are beautiful and worthy and True- but haven’t found their person…. Yet!

If this goes well I can dive back in to my jewelry archives and do it again another day!
(If it doesn’t go well we will forget it ever happened 😂)
But hopefully yall enjoy the trip down jewelry memory lane as much as I do!

This season of experimenting with my art has lead to quite the unusual fall art fair jury results! I’ll have five shows and an odd mix of showing both jewelry and sculpture- or just jewelry- OR just sculpture 😂.
(I love them best together because they are both Storytelling through Objects and they resonate so beautifully in form and meaning.)
But if you imagine that in November of last year I had not attempted sculpture yet? To have this level of blind jury success straight out of the gate/ I can’t be anything but happy- (while gleaning information to improve my application process/ I really prefer to show them together)

Meanwhile- I’m currently working on both in my studio/ and have new work to share shortly.

But Thursday night 7/15- I’m going to dig deep into my jewelry bin for a release of

“Jewelry You May Have Missed!!!!!”

Maybe you hadn’t found me yet
Maybe the algo hid the post
Maybe you didn’t understand that I will take any of my art that I post on socials to the post office! (And I’m terrible about updating my website)

This release will be lovely and wide in scope!
Thursday July 15th at … 5:00! If it goes well I’ll wash rinse and repeat this long summer. I have so much good work still in my archives.

And I’ll release my fall art fair schedule soon. (September come quickly -I miss being on the road so much!)

Signs of Life!
Enjoying all the sights/ food/ art / antiques/ inspiration of the low country- and sleeping- (I thought I’d keep myself on a disciplined schedule like I do at home? But the body is relaxed and I am just going to lean into that.
I never sleep in. )
But why not in slow paced Savannah….?

And I’m working! I completed another huge penny pennant in record time/ in between the other things- and I’m knee deep in jewelry designs to balance the work.

I’m lazily studying the formations of trees and haint blue front porches- and tomorrow… more art
Notes are being taken.
Excited to take all this inspiration back to the full studio….
