Join us at Sugar & Spice Books on May 17th for a special screening of Book Cute, a charming q***r rom-com short film by indie filmmaker Emily Claibourne.

The film follows Sam, who finally works up the courage to talk to her longtime crush, Dana- the impossibly cute owner of her favorite bookstore. What unfolds is a story full of chemistry, vulnerability, and the kind of misunderstandings that make romance all the more real.

At its heart, Book Cute is more than a love story, it’s a celebration of q***r joy, representation, and the magic of seeing yourself reflected in stories that don’t treat you as a subplot, but as the main character.
