🏴‍☠️ ONE PIECE IS REAL: POST 13

A TABLE CAN BECOME A REVOLUTION

In One Piece, the most important moments do not always happen on the battlefield.

Sometimes they happen around a table.

People eat.

They laugh.

They tell stories.

They celebrate surviving.

And for a moment, the divisions between them begin to disappear.

Pirates eat beside villagers.

Strangers become friends.

Former enemies discover their shared humanity.

That is the quiet power of a table.

A table can bring together people whom the world has taught to remain apart.

People with different incomes.

Different politics.

Different cultures.

Different beliefs.

Different histories.

At the table, everyone experiences the same basic truth:

We all become hungry.

We all need nourishment.

We all need somewhere we can belong.

And no one is more human than anyone else.

That may not sound revolutionary.

But we live in a world where the quality of your food is often determined by the size of your bank account.

Where some people throw food away while others quietly go without.

Where eating alone has become normal.

Where people can live beside one another for years without ever truly meeting.

So when we create a table where people can eat with dignity, regardless of what they can afford

we are changing the rules.

That is the heart of Green Mountain Ramen’s Pay-It-Forward / Pay-What-You-Can experiment.

One person pays the regular price.

Another contributes extra.

Someone else pays what they can.

And all three receive a nourishing bowl without shame or judgment.

Nobody has to prove that they deserve to eat.

Nobody is treated as more important because they paid more.

We simply trust the community to help care for the community.

This is not charity flowing in one direction.

Every person brings something to the table.

A dollar.

A story.

A song.

A skill.

A joke.

A helping hand.

A moment of kindness.

A future act of generosity.

Sometimes the person receiving support today becomes the person helping someone else tomorrow.

That is how care travels.

In One Piece, a feast is often a sign that something has changed.

People who were hungry can finally eat.

People who were afraid can finally celebrate.

People who felt powerless remember that they still have voices, dreams, and one another.

What if every shared meal carries a little of that power?

What if a bowl of ramen can introduce two future friends?

What if a farmer, an artist, a healer, a musician, and a neighbor meet at the same table and imagine something together?

What if the revolution is not one enormous event?

What if it is thousands of small moments when people choose connection over separation?

Scarcity says:

“There is not enough.”

Community says:

“Pull up another chair.”

Isolation says:

“You are on your own.”

The table says:

“You belong here.”

That is the world we want to practice at Green Mountain Ramen.

Not someday.

Not after everything is perfect.

Right now.

One bowl.

One conversation.

One shared table at a time.

Because when people eat together, they begin to recognize one another.

When they recognize one another, they begin to care.

And when people care for one another,

an entirely different future becomes possible.

Food is Medicine.
Community is Medicine.
Art is Medicine.

🤹 SIDE QUEST: What Would You Do for a Bowl of Ramen? 🍜

Last week, Alex Lacey stopped by and offered me a deal:

“What if I juggle in exchange for a bowl of ramen?”

I thought about it for a moment, and said, “YES! Can I film it?”

He said, “Of course!”

Alex began juggling and kept going until he attracted a customer. It took 16 minutes, and we filmed the entire adventure! I’ve condensed it into this one-minute video.

I loved this experience, and I want to invite more people to come propose their own trade for ramen.

I might accept:

🎪 Clowning
🤹 Juggling
🎭 Miming
🤸 Acrobatics
🎓 A lecture or workshop
🧹 Cleaning or useful work
🎨 Art, music, or performance
🤝 A trade toward a future engagement
🌟 Or something completely unexpected!

Come find Captain Ken Universe and make me an offer. Tell me what you can contribute, and let’s see if we can make a deal.

Please like, comment, and share.

Your talent, knowledge, labor, creativity, or beautiful weirdness might be worth a bowl of ramen.

What would YOU trade for ramen? 🍜🚀

🏴‍☠️ A Gift for the Space Pirate Crew! 🌌🍜

Yesterday at Brattleboro Gallery Walk, one of our amazing fans surprised us with an incredible gift:

Authentic, Limited Edition ONE PIECE Playing Cards! 🃏🏴‍☠️

As fellow pirates, you can imagine how excited we were. 😂

We wanted to share this treasure with all the local ONE PIECE fans out there. Come check them out when you see Green Mountain Ramen!

Thank you to the generous crew member who gifted these to us. These little moments remind us that Green Mountain Ramen is becoming more than ramen. It’s food, art, fandom, and community coming together.

The treasure is real. 🏴‍☠️🍜

Earth Date: September 4, 2026

Space Pirates, we finally made it!

Today, Green Mountain Ramen officially docked at the Harmony Parking Lot for Brattleboro’s Gallery Walk. 🍜🚀

We also reached an important milestone in our mission: our Tan Tan Ramen now features locally raised ground pork from Rebop Farm. 🐖🌱

This victory belongs to every customer, farmer, supporter, friend, and Space Pirate who has helped us continue this journey.

It feels like we are creating a giant 元気玉(げんきだま)— a Spirit Bomb powered by the energy of our entire community.

Together, we are gathering our energy to defeat the lack of access to high-quality, organic, locally sourced, Japanese American food.

Every bowl adds energy.
Every farmer adds energy.
Every act of support adds energy.

Thank you for lending us your power, Brattleboro. The mission continues!

🏴‍☠️🍜 GALLERY WALK TOMORROW! 🍜🏴‍☠️

Tomorrow, Green Mountain Ramen will be at the Harmony Parking Lot for Gallery Walk!

And we’re SO excited to share some big news:

🐷🌱 Our Tan Tan Ramen is now made with local ground pork from Rebop Farm!

Another step toward our dream of making Organic + Local Ramen accessible, delicious, and something our whole community can be proud of.

✨ Come taste the miracle of Organic / Local Ramen! ✨

And today, something beautiful happened.

A customer donated $25 to our Pay-It-Forward program earlier today, helping to make sure another person can sit down and enjoy a bowl, regardless of what they can afford.

We continue to be amazed by how much people in this community care for one another.

Seek organic/local/ and ideally biodynamic.

Come as you are.

We have your bowl waiting for you.

Everyone deserves a place at the table. ❤️🍜

Thank you, Brattleboro.

We’ll see you at Gallery Walk tomorrow!
