🐾 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT- INTRODUCING TOYS 4 TAILS! 🎄

Our class has been working hard behind the scenes, and I’m excited to finally share what they’ve been putting together!

Through our partnership with The D-Max Effect and they chose to partner with the Humane Society Waterville Area, and have officially launched TOYS 4 TAILS!

Our goal is to collect 1,000 toys by December 4th, along with bedding for the dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes!

We need your help to make it happen!

You can donate online, purchase some of the merchandise our students are making, or drop off pet toys and bedding at donation boxes going up at area schools and businesses!

Here’s what our students are offering!

They came up with the name Toys 4 Tails, hand drew their own logo, and are making shirts, hoodies, and stickers to raise money for this great cause!

DONATION PACKAGES:

🐶 TOP DOG $100
Hoodie, Shirt & 5 Stickers

THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER $50
Hoodie or 2 Shirts

THE COOL CAT $30
Shirt

You can purchase any of these packages or make a monetary donation right on our website!

LOCAL BUSINESSES, WE NEED YOU TOO!

We’re looking for businesses that would like to host a donation box or help support our students with this project. If you’re interested, please reach out!

Now, here’s what I’m really excited about!

This entire project is being put together by our STUDENTS!

They came up with the name, drew the logo, designed the merchandise, created the flyers, put together the donation boxes, and are handling the marketing, sales, fundraising, production, and reaching out to organizations in our community.

They’ve taken an idea and are turning it into something real!

A huge thank you to Dorian “D-Max” Pillsbury and Lisa from The D-Max Effect for coming into our classroom and partnering with us on this project! Their story and encouragement really got our students thinking about what they could accomplish.

And thank you to the Humane Society Waterville Area for partnering with us and giving our students an opportunity to make a difference!

Whether you donate a toy, some bedding, purchase a shirt or hoodie, make a donation, or simply share this post, every little bit helps!

Let’s see if we can reach 1,000 toys by December 4th and bring some extra happiness to these animals this holiday season!

PLEASE SHARE THIS POST and help us spread the word!

A few weeks ago, we kicked off The D-Max Effect with the students at MMTC Business, Marketing & Entrepreneurship!

It was so much fun hanging out with them! My mom and I created The D-Max Effect to help other kids turn their ideas into real projects that make a difference in their communities.

Super excited to see what this group accomplishes!

What an incredible day! Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dorian “D-Max” Pillsbury and Lisa from The D-Max Effect! Dorian started raising money and making a difference in his community at just 7 years old. Now, at 14, he’s inspiring the next generation to do the same! His story is proof that you don’t have to wait until you’re an adult to become a leader, start something meaningful, or make a real difference.

But what excited me the most today was watching our students come alive! The energy, excitement, engagement, teamwork, and creativity in our classroom were absolutely incredible! Instead of just sitting through another lesson, our students were actively brainstorming, collaborating, sharing ideas, assigning responsibilities, recognizing contacts we all had and developing a REAL plan to make a difference in our community.

And now we’re putting those ideas into ACTION!

Over the next six weeks, our students will be participating in The D-Max Effect, partnering with a local nonprofit organization to create and execute their very own fundraising initiative!

They’ll be putting their business and entrepreneurship skills to work through marketing, sales, fundraising, merchandise design and production, community partnerships, and teamwork.

The best part? This is THEIR project! They’ll be making decisions, solving problems, developing products, and working together toward a goal that will have a real impact beyond our classroom.

This is exactly what we love about our entrepreneurship program. It’s one thing to teach students about leadership, business, and making money. It’s another to give them the opportunity to actually build something, experience it firsthand, and use those skills to help others.

A HUGE thank you to Dorian and Lisa for spending time with us today, sharing your story, and bringing such incredible energy into our classroom. We had an absolute blast! And to my students, I couldn’t be more excited about what we’re about to accomplish together!

📣 STAY TUNED! Over the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing the nonprofit we’re partnering with, what our students are creating, and how YOU can get involved and support their mission!

One idea. One team. REAL IMPACT!❤️
