A water leak on the 5th floor of the condo building ruined the cabinets in the 1st through 4th floor units directly below. Four kitchens at one time - what a huge job! Enjoyed partnering with my friend Shannon Brantley to build/install these kitchen units in record time! After a couple of weeks to build, delivery and installation for all four units only took 2 days! I always pick up some new tips and tricks from Shannon when were together! He's a master craftsman!!

Small shop operations . . .

I have an assortment of cabinet jacks that I use regularly to install wall cabinets. But on some jobs I find it much easier to use French cleats to hang the wall cabinets, especially if the cabinets are large.

I still have to laser level the cabinets for level and plumb before screwing the face frames together and screwing the cabinets to the wall. But that is relatively simple using the cabinet jacks to make small adjustments while the French cleats securely support the weight of the cabinets.

When you're a one-man crew installing by yourself, these types of tips are invaluable!
