Baked goods are in the stand! 🎉

🥒 Zucchini, yellow squash and cucumbers are restocked!

Sourdough will start coming out around 10 (or a little after, depending on how quickly they cool!).

If you’re looking for someone to care for your pets while you’re away, I can’t recommend Megan Buzzell enough!

Before we left, she came by to meet our pets, tour the house, and make sure she had all the information she needed. From the moment we left, I never had to worry. She was quick to respond whenever I reached out, and communication was always easy.

At one point, I thought there might be a fire near our house while we were away. Thankfully, it turned out to be the wrong address and everyone was okay, but Megan responded right away and helped put my mind at ease during a stressful moment.

This was our first time using Megan, and it definitely won’t be our last. It’s such a relief knowing there’s someone local we can trust to stay overnight with our pets when we’re away. If you’re looking for a reliable pet sitter with reasonable rates, I highly recommend reaching out to her. 🐾

But have you ever seen a chicken take a bath? The first time I ever saw a chicken taking a bath, I honestly thought something was wrong!

Another local stop today! 🫐

This time I visited Lower Notch Berry Farm at 1908 Lower Notch Rd., Bristol, VT for fresh-picked blueberries.

Now it’s time to turn them into homemade blueberry jam! I love discovering and sharing local places while supporting other small businesses in our community. 💙

This week will look a little different around here.

I’ve made the decision to keep the stand open, but there will be no fresh baked goods this week. We will be back with fresh baked goods Saturday, August 8th.

Alex and I will both be working our full-time jobs and volunteering with the New Haven Fire Department throughout Field Days. Between work, volunteering, and everything else, I’m already feeling the burnout, and this is the choice I need to make so I don’t completely run myself into the ground.

I’m sorry for any inconvenience, and I truly appreciate your understanding.

And one small reminder if you’re attending Field Days: please be kind to the volunteers. Whether they’re collecting admission, helping with traffic control, or filling another role, they’re giving their time to help make the event possible. A little patience and kindness goes a long way. ❤️
