Happy New Year everyone! This was a toughie. It was painful, exhausting, overwhelming and scary.

Personally, I (Rosy), had to take a step back from for a bit because I was struggling with everything. Hollie, bless her, took on a job for two, and helped keep BOTS afloat during the past few months. It is so much work managing a bookstagram and dealing with toddlers! Ever so thankful to have her as my partner in this!

Obviously the identity of was up in the air this year with COVID. Hoping to be able to resume our subway book drops as soon as it feels safe to do so. Hollie and I always have these big ideas for BOTS that always end up being pushed back because of....well, life! Looking forward to carving out more time to make some of our ideas come true and reigniting our passion and dedication to .

I'm hoping 2021 will be different and more positive for everyone, in a safer and healthier world. So many people lost so much and we all deserve a turnaround!

But tonight, at the close of this year, I'm starting small.... making some time for myself to read, a luxury i haven't been able to afford in a long time.

2020, you suck. 2021, show us what you've got!

Happy New Year!

October is here and with it comes a new book club pick!!!

We've gone for a mystery thriller this month: And Now She's Gone by Rachel Howzell Hall. I haven't read any thrillers in quite some time and for me (Hollie Fraser) it really gets me out of any reading slump, which September really has been for me! Normally, I can plough through 3-4 books in a month, but I only just made my way through two titles this September.

So, I hope you'll join in and read along with this month's ! I'll be dropping my personal copy in the park near me next week - so watch this space [williamsburg readers]! Oh and me, Rosy Kehdi and Tashay Green will be hosting another one of our zoom events with live with the author, Rachel Howzell Hall on October 27th @ 8pm (link to register coming soon). In this time of uncertainty, when anxiety and stress are high, many of us are looking for ways to bring some calm to our lives.

Psychologist new release explores a way to do just that through the Japanese principle, ukeireru. This principle of acceptance offers a path to well-being and satisfaction for those of us that are anxious and exhausted. Ukeireru is a way of life and according to Haas, the key to happiness.
