Elevated doesn’t always mean elaborate.

Sometimes, the best flooring choice is the one that quietly does its job.

A sealed concrete floor can create a clean, intentional look while standing up to the demands of a high-traffic space, especially an entryway where hundreds of people may walk through week after week.

There’s something to be said for choosing materials that balance design, durability, and function.

Sometimes, simple is what makes a space feel elevated.

A long-awaited addition to the Toccoa community is almost here!

We're excited to have played a small part in bringing the new Marshalls location to life by installing the flooring throughout this beautiful retail space.

Commercial flooring does more than provide a surface to walk on, it helps shape the customer experience. From the moment shoppers walk through the doors, the flooring creates a clean, welcoming foundation that allows the merchandise to take center stage while standing up to the heavy foot traffic retail spaces demand.

Here's to new beginnings and busy shopping days!

The countdown to a new school year is on!

While students and teachers are preparing to head back to the classroom, we're proud to have helped make sure Barksdale Elementary is ready to welcome them.

This hallway received new flooring designed to stand up to the daily demands of an active school environment. Durable, easy to maintain, and built to handle thousands of footsteps every day, it's an investment that will serve students, staff, and visitors for years to come.

We wish the students, teachers, and staff at Barksdale Elementary a successful year ahead!

What if the biggest mistake your company makes... is assuming you already know what your customers want?

One of the biggest lessons from Raving Fans is that you can't consistently exceed expectations if you don't first understand them.

Every customer has different priorities. For one, it might be quality. For another, it's communication. For someone else, it's simply knowing you'll do what you said you would.

Creating raving fans starts with listening.

The more we understand what matters most to our customers, the better we can create an experience they'll remember long after the project is complete.

What's one thing your customers value that isn't listed in your scope of work?

Sometimes the best commercial flooring is the flooring you never notice.

In a church auditorium, every design decision contributes to the worship experience, including what's under your feet.

For this project, Covered + Clad installed carpet on the auditorium stairs, creating a solution that is both functional and welcoming.

Carpeted stairs do more than enhance the look of an auditorium, they help create a better worship experience. By reducing footstep noise, improving traction, and adding comfort underfoot, they help minimize distractions so the focus stays where it belongs.

Sometimes the details people don't notice are the ones that make the biggest difference.

"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise." Psalm 98:4

What if your biggest competitive advantage was... a shopping cart?

Why has Target become such a popular place to shop? It's not just because of the products they sell. Plenty of retailers sell the same products. It's because they've intentionally designed the customer experience.

Everything is centered around the shopper: the lighting, the layout, the signage, the displays... even the shopping cart.

Yes, the shopping cart.

Think about it. At most stores, you're just hoping you don't grab the cart with the squeaky wheel, the one that constantly pulls to the left, or the one that rattles all the way through the store.

At Target, the cart feels different. It rolls smoothly, it's quiet, the handles are comfortable, it even has a cup holder for your water cup and the Starbucks you grabbed when you walked into the store. The cart feels like you are driving a luxury vehicle down a freshly paved road. It's a small detail, but it's intentional. They didn't leave the customer experience to chance.

As Sarah Deuth, VP of Store Design at Target, explained in an interview with Fast Company, "The cart for us is the first touchpoint that the guest meets right when they walk in the store."

That simple difference makes me want to come back again... and again... and again.

Creating raving fans doesn't happen by accident. It's intentionally designed.

One of the key lessons in Raving Fans is that you must first define the experience you want your customers to have. If you don't have a clear vision, your customer experience will be inconsistent.

This reminds me of a lesson from our previous book club selection, Fans First by Jesse Cole, where this idea takes on an even deeper meaning.

Exceptional experiences aren't built around transactions, they're built around people.

When your team knows the experience you're trying to create and is empowered to care for the people in front of them, consistency becomes part of your culture instead of something you simply hope for.

When clients know they're working with people who communicate well, follow through on commitments, and genuinely care about their success, they'll want to do business with you again... and again... and again.

The flooring, wall finishes, and window film are just what we install.

Trust is what we're really building.

What's one thing your company does to make customers feel valued, not just served?

One of the biggest challenges on a commercial project isn't always the installation itself, it's coordinating dozens of trades working in the same space, often under tight deadlines.

This photo is a perfect example.

Before this tile installation area could be protected, heavy job site traffic left its mark. It's a reminder that even the highest quality workmanship depends on careful scheduling, communication, and respect between trades.

Successful projects aren't just built by skilled craftsmen, they're built by teams working together at the right time and in the right sequence.

When every trade has the time and space to do their job well, everyone wins, especially the client.
