New headshot means it’s time for a reintroduction!
Hi, Saxonburg! I’m Laura Welsh, owner of LWP Balloon Creations and L. Welsh Photography.
I was born and raised right here in Saxonburg, graduated from Knoch, and spent 15 years working at Knoch as a lunch lady before eventually taking a giant leap and going into business for myself.
A lot of you first got to know me through photography. I’ve photographed hundreds of local seniors, families, weddings, and events over the years. Then somewhere along the way, balloons entered the picture, and they completely took over.
Today, LWP Balloon Creations is my main focus, and I’m incredibly proud that a business I started right here in Saxonburg now gets to be part of celebrations throughout Butler County and the greater Pittsburgh area.
But there’s still something extra special about getting to decorate here at home.
I’m proud to be part of the Saxonburg business community, proud to support our local events and organizations, and always grateful when someone from my hometown chooses me to be part of their celebration.

And for my photography OGs, I’m still here! While I’m not currently accepting new photography clients as I focus on growing LWP Balloon Creations, I’m still photographing my longtime clients for seniors, weddings, and select family sessions as availability allows. I’m currently booked through September, with limited availability scattered throughout October.
And if you’ve known me since the Knoch lunch lady days, the photography days, the balloon days, or simply because it’s Saxonburg and everybody knows everybody 😂, thank you for continuing to support me and my businesses.
