As we go into our 20th year in Cabot, I’ve been thinking about this. My friend Andrea Wilson from Pea Farm Bistro gave it to me on the first day we reopened in 2020 after being closed for 18 months.
It was during the pandemic. Everyone was worried, I wasn’t bringing in any income, and all of our conventions had been shut down.
We opened in a little hole in the wall. It wasn’t much different from the shop I opened back in California in 1999. It was something, though. In the six years since, our community that has grown here in Cabot and embraced our return has meant the world to us.
Everything I have is because of this store and our community. We just unlock those doors every day, but it’s you who chooses us again and again. We’ve become family to some of you and friends to others.
We’ve known some of you for 20 years, while others have only been with us for a short time. In our new spot this upcoming week, we can’t wait to unlock those doors again and show you what we’ve been working on.
We’ll have a seat waiting for you here at Stage 2.
See you soon!
