Swarm season is here!! One of our hives had some drama and swarmed, so this morning we had to put things right. Ladies are back to business as usual.

Pollinating almonds in California has been a part of the Steele Family Legacy for over 45 years. Lots of work and sacrifices are made by every member of the family in these busy months.

Spring break in our house means kids get put to work! Lol! Thankfully we have great helpers that want to work beside us. I told him...."keep your eyes on the jar." He kept repeating it to himself ha!
Only had one mistake and it was partially my fault.

* I dont recommend doing two at once as that's expert level and very risky! 😅 We just did that for a fun "race".

When I saw my daughter in a darkly lit shop helping her dad work, it brought back so many memories! So thankful for those days working with my dad. I'm also grateful the next generation gets to experience it too!

***After working, Goose told her to smell her hands ha! The smell of Natural Beeswax is a family favorite scent 😍

Winter bee work can be a little tedious, but we are hustling to get our boxes fixed and prepped for our bees to come home from pollination. Both bees and beekeepers are busy right now!
