The changing of the seasons, in a jar. Everything grown right here on our farm.

Sunflowers, snapdragons in cream and apricot, a little eucalyptus, and one very proud florist on the back deck.

Double heads week.

The garden decided one bloom per stem was optional.

The calla came up fused — two spathes, one stem, purple bleeding out into green like someone spilled ink. That's fasciation: the growing tip flattens and splits instead of staying a single point. Random, harmless, and completely unrepeatable.

The sunflower isn't fasciated, but it's doing its own version — the main head still buttoned up, yellow just barely showing through the bracts, and a whole crowd of side buds shoving in underneath. Give it a week and that node is going to be a bouquet.

Nothing here was planned. That's usually the good part.
