There’s something about an Experience Kissimmee, event that feels more like a family reunion than a formal gathering. 💙💛

This morning, we met for Experience Kissimmee’s Annual Meeting, getting some amazing insight into the growth of our destination, the international trends in travel and tourism, and the important role Central Florida plays in it all.

As a member of the Partnership Committee, I had the pleasure of spending time in the Connection Corner. We provided a little space designed to make networking less intimidating. New faces, familiar faces, or just not sure where to start? We break the ice so you don’t have to!

One of my favorite things about being involved with Experience Kissimmee is the people. So many genuine relationships, incredible businesses, and familiar faces I’ve come to know and love.

Proud to be part of a community that makes such a big destination feel like a small town.

I may have the flu, but I can still introduce our limited edition product drop…

🙌🏻 PERFUMES!

We have a handful of limited edition scents that were specifically developed for the “ber” months:

* The Closes: Inspired by the narrow cobblestone streets of Edinburgh. Notes of bergamot, black tea leaves, and gentle musk.
* The Invitation: Cashmere, deep plum, and sugared amber create an inviting aroma that will leave people wondering what you’re wearing.
* Vanity: If you’ve been searching for the perfect balance of vanilla and sophistication, this is it. You won’t be disappointed.
* Grey Orchard: A grounded fragrance reminiscent of a stroll through an apple orchard on a cloudy day. Complex, original, and initially apple forward, this fragrance wears seamlessly throughout the day, changing between notes of oak, apple, woodsy amber, and soft citrus.
* Ever After: A luxurious and complex blend of white tea blossoms, coriander, and sweet thyme. Ever After lends itself to a high end spa or a beautiful day in the Autumn sunshine.
* Salt & Sky: For the days when you’re missing the sunshine, Salt & Sky will transport your senses to a private beach. Hints of sand, sea salt, and coconut milk provide the perfect notes of a seaside stroll - without the usual “on-the-nose” scent of a sunscreen or casual beach fragrance.

These will be released at 7am on October 6 in VERY limited quantities. Because our fragrances are so complex, they take more than 60 days to macerate. That means when these sell out, they’re gone for the season. Limited quantities of full size bottles will be available as well.

For those who may have missed it, I decided to make my own costume for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! I built a shell for the bathtub and then covered it in upholstery foam and muslin. From there I painted and spackled it all together. I had to add a 10 lb weight to balance out the feet/front… It was a very heavy costume choice in the end 😂 I wore this around from about 7pm to midnight and my shoulders were KILLING me. Although we did stop into the Beak & Barrel where I climbed out to take a rest for about 45 minutes… The next time I decide to go as Uncle Orville, I’ll consider lighter components. lol.

A little behind the scenes of small business ownership that doesn’t usually make it onto the feed…

For the past several months, I’ve been dealing with ongoing issues with my 2026 Palisade - the same vehicle that hauls supplies, gets me to events, pulls our trailer, makes deliveries, and generally plays a pretty important role in keeping Traveler’s Apothecary moving. What started as repeated trips to the dealership has turned into months of repairs, safety concerns, paperwork, phone calls, and a Lemon Law process. This weekend brought another frightening acceleration issue, and this morning, it left the neighborhood on a tow truck. (Under the extreme supervision of Tracker, obviously 😂)

I don’t share this because a business page needs a play-by-play of my car problems. But I do think it’s worth occasionally showing what “small business” really means.

There isn’t a fleet vehicle waiting in the wings. There isn’t a logistics department figuring out Plan B. When something like this happens, it gets added to the same plate as production, wholesale orders, events, proposals, deliveries, bookkeeping, emails, and everything else that has to happen to keep this little company moving. And lately, that plate has been full.

So if you’ve experienced a slightly longer response time, an online order that took longer than our usual turnaround, or you’ve simply wondered what’s happening behind the scenes, this has been one very big piece of it!

We’re still growing. We’re still filling orders, showing up for our partners, and building some really exciting things. Sometimes entrepreneurship just looks a little less like pretty product photos and a little more like watching your primary business vehicle get hauled away while your cat supervises the operation 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

A new chapter, and one we’re incredibly excited to share:

Traveler’s Apothecary founder Jess Bullock has officially joined the Board of Directors of the Osceola County Historical Society!

At Traveler’s Apothecary, storytelling has always been at the heart of what we do. Fragrance has an incredible ability to connect us to a place, a moment, and a memory, and so much of our work has been built around creating experiences that tell those stories.

Now, Jess is excited to bring that same creativity, along with her experience in entrepreneurship, experiential programming, community partnerships, and turning big ideas into reality, to an organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories of Osceola County.

It’s an opportunity to honor the past while exploring fresh, engaging ways to help people experience it. We’re so excited to see what this next chapter brings!
Here’s to preserving stories, creating new ones, and continuing to invest in the communities we call home.

✨ A Retail Line Update ✨

Traveler’s Apothecary isn’t going anywhere - but things are much busier behind the scenes than usual!

Our event, wholesale, and custom fragrance sides of the business have grown tremendously, and right now our production schedule is especially full. Because every Traveler’s Apothecary product is made by hand, our usual 48-hour turnaround simply isn’t possible at the moment.

For the time being, please allow up to 2 weeks for retail orders to be made and shipped. We will also be moving to one dedicated shipping day each week, rather than shipping orders throughout the week.

Our online shop is still open. We’re still making your favorites. And we’re definitely not quitting. We’re simply adjusting our schedule so we can continue giving every order (whether it’s one candle or products for thousands of guests) the care it deserves.

If you’re ordering something for a gift, trip, or specific date, please plan ahead and give us a little extra time.

Thank you for continuing to support this little business as it grows into something much bigger than we ever imagined. We appreciate your patience more than you know!

A little update from Traveler’s Apothecary ✨💙✨

After a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision that this Saturday will be our final market.

What many people may not realize is that retail has become the smallest part of what we do.

Over the years, Traveler’s Apothecary has grown into something much bigger than the little candle and bath company we started as. Today, the majority of our work is creating specialty experiences for groups of 20 to 3,000, producing wholesale and white label products that can be found in shops and resorts throughout Florida, and developing custom fragrances and products for resorts, retailers, churches, organizations, and brands.

And we are incredibly grateful for that growth!

But behind the scenes, it has become increasingly difficult to move between producing 1,000 of one product for a large project, stopping to make 6 individual retail orders, and then immediately shifting gears again to coordinate a large-scale or overnight event.

At the same time, we’re navigating some personal things at home that require more of our time and attention.

So, as difficult as this decision is, we know it’s time to make a little more room… For our family, for the parts of Traveler’s Apothecary that are growing so quickly, and for whatever this next chapter becomes.

This is not goodbye to Traveler’s Apothecary. In many ways, it’s quite the opposite. We’re simply allowing the business to grow in the direction it has naturally taken us.

We are so incredibly thankful to everyone who has shopped our markets, smelled every candle, discovered a favorite fragrance, and supported this little company along the way. You helped build what it has become. 💙

So this Saturday, we’re going to have one last market together, and we’re going out with a bang! We’ll have our usual fun, themed products for Once Upon a Magic Market, plus we’ll be treating the rest of our market inventory like a clearance closeout.

Last week was a pretty incredible reminder of why we built The Experience Bar!

Traveler’s Apothecary had the opportunity to partner with AdventHealth Celebration for their Self-Care Social, where we brought two completely hands-on wellness experiences: our Custom Body Scrub Bar and a Massage Candle Making Experience. And when we say hands-on, we mean it.

Guests customized their own body scrubs from the ground up, choosing their scent, color, and texture - AND created their own massage candles to take home! Over the course of roughly 2 hours, we helped guests create more than 270 body scrubs and massage candles.

But what I loved most wasn’t the number of products we made. It was watching people slow down, laugh with one another, smell all the fragrances, debate their choices, get creative, and genuinely enjoy the process. That’s exactly what these experiences are designed to do!

Over the years we’ve learned that self-care doesn’t always have to mean stepping away from everyone else. Sometimes it can be an opportunity to connect, create, and experience something together. That’s what we’re bringing to corporate events, wellness programs, and large-scale activations throughout Florida. It’s not simply another giveaway or activity, but an experience guests actually participate in - and hopefully remember!

A huge thank you to AdventHealth Celebration and The Inn at Celebration, for inviting us to be part of such a wonderful evening. Also shout out to the other amazing vendors, The Osceola Chamber, Celebration Area Council, and of course to everyone who stopped by and created with us! This night also wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Shauna - who jumped onto the team like she’s been running things for years! Can’t wait for more amazing things to come 🙂
