Well, this is a post we really hate to make. 🤍

Unfortunately, due to a few unexpected complications today — a tooth infection, an urgent care visit, and a back that has decided not to cooperate — we just don’t have the manpower to make Caddtoberfest happen tomorrow.

And we are SO sorry.

We have absolutely loved being a part of Caddtoberfest and were so excited to be back again this year, which makes having to make this call — especially so last minute — that much harder.

BUT, thanks to our pretty incredible team stepping up and helping us cover the shop, we’re going to extend our hours tomorrow!

Every Gratitude family becomes part of the Blended story, but this season, that story begins with someone who is already part of ours. 🤍

If you’ve been around Blended for a while, you may know Madison. She is an important part of our team, and this fall, our Gratitude family is her family.

Earlier this year, Madison’s mom, Cissy, was diagnosed with Stage 2 estrogen-receptor-positive breast cancer with lymph node involvement — beginning what is expected to be a nearly two-year journey of treatment, surgery, recovery, radiation and reconstruction.

And today, we get to share a pretty incredible milestone: Cissy has officially completed all eight rounds of chemotherapy! 🤍 After 16 weeks of treatment, her lab work looks great, her tumor has significantly shrunk, and her medical team is incredibly encouraged by her progress. She left her final treatment feeling hopeful, excited and ready for what comes next.

There is still a road ahead, with a mastectomy scheduled for October 12, followed by recovery, likely radiation and eventually reconstruction. But today, there is so much to celebrate.

Through it all, Cissy and her family — her husband, Josh, and daughters, Madison and Alayna — have been surrounded by an incredible community of support.

This fall, we get to be one more part of it.

Our Fall Gratitude scent, Spiced Welcome, was chosen with Cissy in mind because she loves our baking-inspired scents. $2 from every Spiced Welcome purchase will go directly to her family to help ease some of the burden ahead.

The Gratitude Program has always been about more than a candle. It’s about using something we make every day to show up for someone in our community when they need it most.

And this time, it hits especially close to home.

Madison shows up for Blended in countless ways. Now, we get to show up for her, her mom and their family.
