Hey, everyone! This Saturday from 2:00 to 6:00, I’ll be setting up a couple of tables at the Farmstead on Tap fundraiser in Hatboro.
I’ll have some of the smaller items I make and sell, and Wax Daddy Candles will be displaying their candles at one of my tiki bars.

🌴 BIG ADDITION TO THE NEW TIKI BAR BOOK 🌴

I’m not only rewriting How to Build Your Own Tiki Bar...

I’m also going to build a brand-new 8' x 8' tiki bar from scratch and film the entire process.

The video will let you actually watch me build it step-by-step, while the book will include the measurements, diagrams, material lists, photos, tips and detailed information you’ll need to build your own.

But this book is going to be about a lot more than just construction.

I’ll also be including tiki drink recipes, stories from 26 years of building tiki bars all over the country, supplier and product resources, tools and materials I use, tiki clothing and lifestyle brands, and plenty of other things I’ve picked up along the way.

It’s shaping up to be part how-to book, part tiki lifestyle guide, and part behind-the-scenes look at 26 years of Tiki Kev. 🌴🔨🎥📚🍹

I wrote my original How to Build Your Own Tiki Bar book in 2005, followed by How to Build Your Own Tiki Hut and How to Build Your Own Tiki Tables & Stools in 2007.
After 26 years of building tiki bars and huts, A LOT has changed. 🔨🌴
✅ The designs have changed.
✅ The materials have changed.
✅ The tools have changed.
✅ The tiki hut materials and roofing systems have evolved.
✅ And the way I build today is completely different.
So I’m not just updating these books...

🌴From Pennsylvania to Nebraska... Another Tiki Bar Adventure! 🌴

Every custom Tiki Kev tiki bar has a story, and this one was no different.
A few weeks ago, this 10' x 10' x 10' custom cedar tiki bar was just a stack of lumber sitting in my shop in Pennsylvania. After a two-week build, it was completely disassembled, loaded onto the trailer, and headed west to Nebraska, where it was reassembled on site. A bar this size simply can't be transported in one piece.
Here's something most people never think about. We had a total of 44 hours of drive time for a job that took just six hours to set up. That's the reality of building custom tiki bars and delivering them all over the country. There's a lot more that goes into these projects than most people ever see.
A big thank you to Liam and Walt for all their hard work. We couldn't have asked for better weather, and everything went together just the way we planned.
I'd also like to thank Cheyenne for trusting me to build this custom tiki bar. It was a pleasure working with you, and I hope you, your family, and your friends enjoy it for many years to come.
Standing back and looking at the finished bar, it's hard to believe it all started as a pile of cedar in my Pennsylvania shop just a few weeks earlier. That's one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Now it's back to the shop... because the next custom Tiki Kev tiki bar is already waiting to be built.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸
I don't want to hear any political nonsense from anyone today.
Today is about celebrating this incredible country, appreciating the freedoms we enjoy, and remembering the men and women who have fought, and continue to fight, to protect them.
If you know a veteran, an active-duty service member, or one of their family members, take a moment to thank them. Without their sacrifice and dedication, we wouldn't be celebrating 250 years of freedom.
Fire up the grill. Spend time with family and friends. Watch the fireworks. Make some memories.

The front yard inventory keeps growing... and at this point, I may need a bigger front yard! 😂

🌞 Good morning, everyone. The front yard inventory keeps growing 😂 Added a few more cedar and pine projects out front including stationary planters, hanging planters, raised planters, cedar birdhouses, bird feeders, and small outdoor tables. 🌲🪵🐦
I also included a pricing sheet in the photos showing the general price ranges for the different products since every piece is a little different depending on size and design. Everything is handmade right here in the shop, mostly from cedar, with a little pine and sassafras mixed in. 🔨
