🌴From Pennsylvania to Nebraska... Another Tiki Bar Adventure! 🌴

Every custom Tiki Kev tiki bar has a story, and this one was no different.
A few weeks ago, this 10' x 10' x 10' custom cedar tiki bar was just a stack of lumber sitting in my shop in Pennsylvania. After a two-week build, it was completely disassembled, loaded onto the trailer, and headed west to Nebraska, where it was reassembled on site. A bar this size simply can't be transported in one piece.
Here's something most people never think about. We had a total of 44 hours of drive time for a job that took just six hours to set up. That's the reality of building custom tiki bars and delivering them all over the country. There's a lot more that goes into these projects than most people ever see.
A big thank you to Liam and Walt for all their hard work. We couldn't have asked for better weather, and everything went together just the way we planned.
I'd also like to thank Cheyenne for trusting me to build this custom tiki bar. It was a pleasure working with you, and I hope you, your family, and your friends enjoy it for many years to come.
Standing back and looking at the finished bar, it's hard to believe it all started as a pile of cedar in my Pennsylvania shop just a few weeks earlier. That's one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Now it's back to the shop... because the next custom Tiki Kev tiki bar is already waiting to be built.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸
I don't want to hear any political nonsense from anyone today.
Today is about celebrating this incredible country, appreciating the freedoms we enjoy, and remembering the men and women who have fought, and continue to fight, to protect them.
If you know a veteran, an active-duty service member, or one of their family members, take a moment to thank them. Without their sacrifice and dedication, we wouldn't be celebrating 250 years of freedom.
Fire up the grill. Spend time with family and friends. Watch the fireworks. Make some memories.
Happy Independence Day, everyone!

🌞 Good Morning, Everyone! 🌞
The front yard inventory keeps growing... and at this point, I may need a bigger front yard! 😂
I've added a few more handmade projects out front, including:

Everything is handmade right here in the shop. Most items are built from cedar, with a little pine and sassafras mixed in along the way. No two pieces are exactly alike, so sizes and designs will vary.

🌞 Good morning, everyone. The front yard inventory keeps growing 😂 Added a few more cedar and pine projects out front including stationary planters, hanging planters, raised planters, cedar birdhouses, bird feeders, and small outdoor tables. 🌲🪵🐦
I also included a pricing sheet in the photos showing the general price ranges for the different products since every piece is a little different depending on size and design. Everything is handmade right here in the shop, mostly from cedar, with a little pine and sassafras mixed in. 🔨

Patti: “Do you have any scrap wood laying around so maybe you can make me a SMALL table for the laundry room?”
Me: “Sure, no problem.”
Apparently my definition of “small table” and everyone else’s definition are living in completely different zip codes. 🤦‍♂️🔨🪵
What started as: “just a little stand for detergent and softener…”
somehow turned into: ✔ Upper shelf
✔ Lower storage shelf
✔ Heavy duty frame
✔ Backsplash
✔ AND a removable elevated platform so the detergent bottle can hang over the edge for easier pouring. 🤣
Because clearly I’m physically incapable of building anything simple.
At this point the washing machine has a better setup than some sports bars I’ve been in. 🍻😂
And honestly, the funniest part is this was all made from scrap plywood laying around the shop. I swear every project starts with: “Let’s keep this quick and simple…”
Then a few hours later I’m standing there staring at it like: “Well… we may have accidentally overengineered the hell out of this thing.” 🧺🚀
Moral of the story: Never leave me alone with scrap wood.

Before I get my day started working on tiki bar orders, I like to build a small project or two in the shop out of cedar or pine... mostly cedar. 🪵🔥
If anyone is interested in any of my handmade cedar and pine products, I have them set up outside by the road on Limekiln Pike if you happen to be driving by. Currently out there are birdhouses, bird feeders, planters, hanging planters, cedar benches, cedar bench planters, and small cedar tables. 🌺🐦
