The Farmers Market hosted by the Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce, is a longstanding and beloved community event. The Market takes place on Saturday from 7:30- 10:30 AM at the Courthouse Square

The 2024 Market will run from May 25th - September 21st. Entrance into the Market is free and guests are invited to shop our vendors for produce, baked goods, and more! Vendors offer fresh produce, flow

ers and plants, handcrafted items, baked goods, and more. We are looking for live music, singing, and many more forms of entertainment! Message us through Facebook for more information!

You’re definitely not going to want to miss tomorrow’s Charleston Farmers Market at Courthouse Square! We’ll have fancy haricot vert (slender and tender french green beans), garlic, dutch red shallots, genovese basil, heirloom eggplant, peppers, tomatillos and bouquets. See you there rain or shine!

The wait is ALMOST over because we are one week away!

One week from today, our IDHS Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Coupons will be available for eligible Coles County residents.

🌽Available Beginning: July 9
🍅Pick-Up Times: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM & 1:00–3:00 PM
🍋LifeSpan Center
🍉Must be 60+, reside in Coles County, and meet income eligibility guidelines.
🍑Personal identification is required (or a proxy if applicable).

Coupons are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, so mark your calendar and plan to stop by to see us!

Fun Fact: On average, produce at a farmers market travels less than 50 miles from farm to table, compared to about 1,500 miles for food sold in many grocery stores.
