At WTO, we continuously invest in state-of-the-art technologies that enhance precision, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency. That is why we invested over 40 million Euros in our headquarters in Ohlsbach to build the most advanced Smart Factory.

Spanning 9,000 m², this fully autonomous manufacturing facility is equipped with flexible automated manufacturing cells and autonomous transport systems. This enables highly efficient, unmanned manufacturung of precision parts in small batches, while ensuring consistently high quality and process reliability.

Ultra-high-speed machining typically requires an expensive machine tool spindle. WTO’s CoolSpeed® Flex offers a cost-effective alternative.

Its patented, turbine-driven technology features an adjustable number of coolant jets, performing operation with coolant flow rates as low as 8 l/min. Designed for use on Swiss-type lathes and turning centers, CoolSpeed® Flex fits directly into standard tool holders. Powered by the existing coolant or cutting oil supply, the system achieves speeds of 30,000 to 80,000 rpm, power output of up to 500 W, and dynamic runout of 4 µm or better.

🌍 The global WTO team ensures world-class product support worldwide.

Last week, the global WTO sales team gathered at the WTO headquarters in Ohlsbach for an International Sales & Product Meeting.

Over two intensive days, the participants took part in product training sessions, technical workshops, and knowledge-sharing discussions. By continuously expanding their expertise at headquarters, our product and sales specialists can provide customers around the world with first-class product support and in-depth application knowledge.

To conclude the two-day event, the international team attended the annual WTO summer barbecue. With grilled delicacies, pleasant conversations, and a relaxed evening at the WTO bar, the successful and productive meeting came to a perfect close.

🌱 🌱 Sustainability that makes a difference.

At WTO, energy efficiency is an integral part of our company.

At our headquarters in Ohlsbach, Germany we have been using renewable energy for heating and cooling since 2011. Our new "Smart Factory," built in 2022 as a "Green Factory," allows us to consistently advance this approach with heat recovery from exhaust air and groundwater-based cooling save over 3.8 GWh annually — equivalent to the energy consumption of around 1,100 households.

At the same time, we are reducing CO₂ emissions by an amount comparable to approximately 4,500 domestic flights.

In addition, we generate clean electrical energy on-site using over 6,000 photovoltaic modules—even utilizing our parking areas.
