Hi friends! I don’t think I’ve ever actually introduced myself on this platform. My name is Maxime and I’m the designer and maker behind .
I started sewing when I was a little kid, and fell in love with the process. After finishing my BFA in Fashion Design at VCU, I moved to New York where I discovered my passion for accessory design. I have since moved to Charlotte, NC, and continue to make quality products and experiment with different materials. Although Scallop is a “side hustle” for me, I pour my heart and soul into each product I make. I hope that you love them as much as I do!

Taking a minute to reflect on this past weekend and how amazing it was! For my first big market, and first time on the Charlotte vendor scene, I had a truly wonderful time. I met so many creative and talented women who are running their own businesses, many while still working full-time jobs, and absolutely killing it. I was so nervous to be in the presence of companies who have an established following, repeat customers, and friends in the maker world because I didn’t think I was good enough to be in the same room. After hearing so many stories from people who were in my same boat this time last year, I am inspired to keep going and keep pursuing this business! So thank you to for the opportunity to be in the same room as these talented women, and a GIANT thank you to the most important woman, momma! She pushed me to sign up, and came to help the whole weekend with physical labor, moral support, and lots of pink bubbles 💕
