I went to the new Southern Branch Nursery shop at VB Farmers Market yesterday to look for pollinator pretties to add to a full sun area behind the pool in the backyard.

I met the owner (super nice) and she helped me choose the best native perennial plants that won't grow too tall (below pool line) and will thrive in a semi dry space.

Fun fact. I'm allergic to bees and carry an EpiPen, Im also scared of big bugs ... so, if ya'll see me out in the wild, dodging invisible things and doing an erratic bug dance, likely there was a bee or random bug nearby. 😂

Ya'll check them out in the shop behind the pavilion! She has Bat Boxes available, too!

Create a beautiful stained glass panel. Immerse yourself in the color and craftsmanship of stained glass as you learn the full process of designing and creating your own glass artwork.

Students will practice safely working with tools and materials while building a beautiful project from start to finish. In this workshop, learn the basic techniques of glass cutting, assembling, soldering, and finishing under the guidance of an experienced instructor.

This eco-friendly studio class will use antique, vintage, repurposed, and recovered glass to create a minimal waste environment. Together, we’ll discuss the value of repurposing materials while exploring the possibilities of textures and light through this exciting medium!
