Our 4.5 year old daughter has been begging for her own sewing machine and it was finally time to see about getting her started! She has big plans to make her stuffed animals and baby dolls new clothes, gifts for her friends, and I'm even told she will be making us some new blankets and pillows! She is dreaming big and my heart has never been happier! The smile that lights up her face as she talks about all the stuff she wants to create will be something I never forget! 🥰🥹

As for this little machine, I am still on the fence about it. Of course it had to be pink per her request so we were limited on options. For now I think it will work but it's definitely just a learning tool before she gets a full size machine like me 💞

Once we get some more hours on this little thing I can give a full review on price versus function.

For now, we have a lot of practice time ahead of us! 🪡🧵👭🏼

This was the first time I have made any curtains like this but what a transformation it made in her camper! So excited for my friend to enjoy these for years to come!

I need to share some personal details as they will be affecting my ability to take on new orders.

I am currently pregnant with our second child, due in September. 💛 We prayed all of last year to be lucky enough to grow our family and in 2026 our prayers were answered. Not without some challenges though....

My husband is enlisted in the Army Reserves and he has been called upon to deploy again this year. He will be gone within the next month to the Middle East. Due to the overwhelming changes our family will be experiencing, I am choosing to take a temporary step back from Hops & Hugs.

If you have currently reached out or placed an order with me, that will be fulfilled as planned! I am just not taking on multiple new orders. I can complete a small handful of projects between June and August for people, as I will still be sewing things for our family and the new baby on the way! Come September and until my husband returns home some time next Spring, I will likely halt all orders completely.

Please be paitent with me as I navigate these big changes and the stress/uncertainty that comes along with both a deployment and preparing to birth a child as a solo parent. 🫶🏻🙏🏻
