This one hits home.
Being part of the design team for Sub 70's Zero Torque lineup has been an incredible experience. Seeing reviews like this from golfers who have actually put them in play is what it's all about.
We set out to build a premium-performing zero torque putter without the premium price tag, and it's awesome to see that goal resonating.
Thanks to everyone who's supported the project and shared their feedback. We're just getting started.

“I’ve been extremely impressed with the Sub 70 005Z Zero Torque Putter. It sets up beautifully behind the ball, and the face stays incredibly stable throughout the stroke, giving me much more confidence on short putts.

The feel off the milled face is responsive, distance control has been excellent, and it’s hard to beat the performance and craftsmanship at this price point.

If you’re curious about zero torque putters but don’t want to spend $400–$600, the 005Z is an outstanding value.”

Really excited to finally share this one.
Had the opportunity to collaborate with Sub 70 Golf to build a complete custom setup for Valparaiso University standout JT Pettigrew, including his irons, wedges, and one of the new Zero Torque putters that we co-designed.
This project was all about performance. From the fitting and prototyping to the final build, every detail was tailored to JT's game so he has complete confidence every time he tees it up.
Huge thanks to JT and everyone involved for trusting Just a Potamus Golf throughout the process. Can't wait to watch these clubs in action this season.

Big things are in the works.
Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Valparaiso University standout basketball player JT Pettigrew to Just a Potamus Golf for a full custom fitting of his Sub 70 irons, wedges, and one of the newly released Zero Torque putters that we co-designed with Sub 70 Golf.
Tour-level fitting isn't just for tour players. Every golfer deserves equipment built specifically for their swing, their stroke, and the way they play the game. That's exactly what today's session was all about.
Now the real work begins as we build JT's custom set, and we can't wait to share the process from start to finish.

The sign is finally up.
Just a Potamus Golf has always been about doing things differently. No assembly line work. No shortcuts. Just precision craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and helping golfers play their best.
What began with the alignment dots trusted by golfers, club fitters, and simulator facilities around the world has grown into a full-service boutique golf workshop offering instruction, tour-level club fitting, custom club building, refinishing, repairs, milling, welding, laser engraving, and one-of-a-kind custom projects.
This sign isn't just a marker for the shop. It's a reminder of how far this journey has come, and how much more is still ahead.
Thanks to everyone who has supported Just a Potamus Golf over the years. I can't wait to show you what's coming next.

Today the Zero Torque lineup is officially complete.
I'm excited to announce the release of the new Sub 70 Sycamore 009Z Mini Zero Torque Mallet, the third model in the Zero Torque lineup that I had the privilege of co-designing with the amazing team at .
From prototype welding, testing, weighting, and countless refinements, it's been an incredible experience helping bring this lineup to life. Seeing all three models now available is something I'm truly proud of.
A huge thank you to everyone at Sub 70 Golf for trusting me throughout this project and to everyone who continues to support Just a Potamus Golf. I can't wait to see these in golfers' hands.

The 001Z and 005Z combine the timeless look of a traditional blade and wide blade with modern zero torque technology, creating putters that naturally want to stay square throughout the stroke while delivering the feel, feedback, and craftsmanship golfers expect from a precision CNC milled carbon steel putter.
From shaping and weighting to balance and performance, this project involved countless conversations, testing, and refinement along the way. Seeing "Co-Designed with Joel Pera of Just a Potamus Golf" on the official product page is something I'm incredibly proud of.
This partnership is another step in the relationship between Sub 70 and Just a Potamus Golf, and I'm grateful for the trust they placed in me throughout the development process.
And this is just the beginning.
The blade and wide blade launch today, but the zero torque mallet has already been designed and is currently on its way. Along with it, we'll be offering a very limited Just a Potamus Golf edition collector's set featuring all three models. I can't wait to share those with everyone soon.
