I can’t believe you’re 16 years old! 🥹🩷 Where did the time go? It feels like I blinked, and my little girl started growing into this beautiful young lady standing before me today.

Rayniya, I hope you always know just how incredibly proud I am of you. You are smart, intelligent, kind, loving, thoughtful, strong, and resilient. You have such a beautiful heart, and there are so many things about you that make you uniquely YOU.

I absolutely LOVE your quirky personality. 😂🩷 You’re never afraid to be yourself, explore the things that interest you, or learn something completely new just because you want to. I’m amazed watching you teach yourself how to speak Spanish, French, and Chinese, while also learning how to write the Chinese, Japanese, and Russian alphabets. Like, GIRL! 😂👏🏽 Who just wakes up and decides, “Yeah, I think I’m going to learn a few languages and alphabets”? MY CHILD DOES! 😂🩷

That curiosity and determination are going to take you so far in life.

Sugar Plum, ever since you entered this world, you’ve been a force to be reckoned with. You have always marched to the beat of your own drum 🥁, and I hope you never stop. You don’t have to follow the crowd. You don’t have to change yourself to fit into spaces that weren’t created for you. Continue being your quirky, funny, intelligent, outspoken, beautiful self.

I’m so proud of the young lady you’re becoming. Every day, I learn something new and special about you. And somehow, with each day that passes, my love for you grows stronger and stronger. Just when I think I couldn’t possibly love you any more than I already do, my heart makes room for even more. 🥹🩷

It’s hard to believe you’re the same little 3-year-old girl who used to sing “On My Own” every time Jekari would leave for the weekend. 😂🥹🩷 I can still picture that little girl, and now here you are—SIXTEEN! Those little memories will forever have a special place in Mommy’s heart.

I love the relationship you have with your brother. I love how you’re such a thoughtful and caring little sister. I love that you care deeply about people and that when you see someone being mistreated, you’re willing to stick up for them. I love that you have your own mind. You speak up, express your viewpoints, ask questions, and aren’t afraid to let people know how you feel.

As you enter Chapter 16, I want you to remember that you don’t have to have everything figured out. You’re still learning. You’re still growing. There’s just something about FALL that does it for me! 😍 It’s hands down my favorite season and one of the most beautiful times of the year.

🍂 Fall means SWEATER WEATHER! 🍂

Baby, bring out the cozy sweaters, cute fall outfits, jeans, scarves, and BOOTS! 👢🧥🍁 I love when that cool, crisp air hits and it’s officially time to put those summer clothes away.

Baby… when you teach YOURSELF how to make cold process soap, body butter, whipped soap base, lip gloss base AND body oil FROM SCRATCH… 🗣️ IT HIT DIFFERENT! 👏🏽💯

Nobody—and I mean NOBODY—can take that knowledge away from you!

I’ve put in COUNTLESS hours researching, testing, formulating, making mistakes and going right back into my PNB Soap Lab to try again. 🧪🧼🧴

I had to learn more than just how to follow a recipe.

I wanted to understand FORMULATION.

🧪 What does this ingredient do?
🧪 Why am I using it?
🧪 What percentage should I use?
🧪 Which ingredients work well together?
🧪 How will changing one ingredient affect my finished product?

And BABYYYY… the FAILED BATCHES?! 😩🤣🤣

I’ve made soap that could’ve doubled as a BRICK! 🧱😂

I’ve made soap that turned into MUSH.

Lip gloss formulas that just DID NOT cut it. 💄🙅🏽‍♀️

Whipped soap formulas that were beyond saving. 🫧😭

And body butter formulas that didn’t have a LICK of hope left! 🧴🤣

I mean RESUSCITATION WASN’T EVEN AN OPTION! 😂😂😂

But guess what?

EVERY. SINGLE. FAILURE. TAUGHT. ME. SOMETHING. 👏🏽

Instead of quitting, I went back to the drawing board.

Research. 📚
Reformulate. 🧪
Test.
Adjust.
Try again.

And NOW?!

I’ve developed formulas I’m PROUD to call my own. 👑

I’ve created dozens of skincare products—some became BEST SELLERS 🏆, some performed better during certain seasons, some did okay and others taught me that every product I create doesn’t have to stay in my collection.

THAT’S BUSINESS. 💯

But the most beautiful part?

This didn’t start with me saying, “I want to start a skincare business.”

It started with ME BEING A MOM. 🥹💜

A mom looking for better options for her children.

And somehow, that journey unlocked something inside of me that I never knew was there.

A PASSION. 🧼🧴🫧

Soap making became therapeutic for me.

When I step inside my PNB Soap Lab, I enter another WORLD. 🌎✨

I drown out the distractions.

Turn on my music. 🎶

Pull out my ingredients. 🧪

Just know there were YEARS of learning, mistakes, experiments, failed batches, research and determination behind them.

I didn’t skip the process.

And I’m STILL learning because a true student of their craft NEVER stops learning. 💯
