Which look 👀 is your fave 1 or 2? I decided to move one thing (wine bar not pictured…tho you can see a sliver of it in pic 1) and it has turned into removing three plants and bringing the basement pillows up. But now I can’t decide…nor do I know what to do with all of the extra plants. 🙃 Also, I’m supposed to be running errands right now, not doing this 🤦🏼‍♀️
Poll: Move it back or change it up (or if (or any interior decorators out there) want to throw in a few style ideas to take this room next level - which is what really needs to happen - I’m all ears. (Sometimes when it is your own house, you just get stuck.)

P.S. It has been a minute since I have been active on this account. Thank you for sticking with me! So much has drastically changed in my life that has led to my absence over here at Style & Edit. In short, my dad passed away in Aug after a short 6 month battle with brain cancer. To say it has been debilitating is an understatement. I am now trying to figure out the rest of my new life. When it comes to selling -> your home’s online presence is the first impression. When it comes to photography -> the placement of your furniture is everything. 💯

Take this loft, for example. The actual location of this chair belongs around the wall + in the corner facing the TV 📺 - - -> but an empty wall with only a TV hanging on it wouldn’t make for the best photo. Instead, S&E moved the chair + angled the rug to better showcase the ✨vibe✨ and use of this space. This is my home that my husband and I bought almost 4 years ago. When he walked in all he could see was “their stuff”
and he was having a hard time looking past it. Fortunately, I had the vision that he didn’t and I was able to convince him that this was the house for us. 💥

Today marks SIX YEARS of Style & Edit!! 🎉 It just proves that what can start as an idea in your head can turn into a dream come true with hard work & determination. 💫 We celebrated with a beautiful launch party six years to this very day while surrounded by all of the special women in our lives. 💗 Then, a few weeks after launching our ‘Wardrobe Styling & Closet Organizing’ business, we were asked to stage a 4000 sqft home soon to hit the market. 🤯 Crazy? Not really. I had been in Real Estate since 2005 & had helped stage many homes over the years. Erin graduated with a degree in Fashion 👠 Merchandising & was a natural organizer, not to mention professional at styling window displays. Over the next 5 years we poured our hearts into ALL of it. From closet organizing to curating Look Books, Home Staging to helping other businesses organize & redecorate their offices, not to mention hosting our infamous ‘Swap & Sip Soirees” that became a seasonal hit throughout Chicago. In 2020 we made the decision to streamline our services to strictly Home Staging and had just begun the process when Covid hit and life as we knew it came to a stop. It was also during this time that Erin realized she needed to make the decision to leave S&E. 💔 As hard as it was to hear, I wholeheartedly understood, but it left me wondering what I was going to do? Thankfully, life has a way of opening new doors and closing others right when you need it 🙏🏼, so even though we are no longer business partners, we will forever remain the best of friends. 💯 Erin, you are already greatly missed. You will always be the yin to my yang & the one who always made me stop to think before saying “YES!!!!” to everything 😆!! Whether we were styling an outfit or moving furniture, we had a natural flow about us that was flawless and effortless. We were a great team & those memories will never be forgotten. 😘
So, today I want to CHEERS to US and the creation of S&E 🥂(I couldn’t have done it without ya!) as well as to YOU and your new job!! 🎉 As for me, I am now the proud, sole owner of Style & Edit. Thankfully, the decision was made for me when a few past clients called with new projects, and as you know, there is no better compliment than that.

Style & Edit transformed what was used as a play area for our client’s children into the family room it was originally intended for in preparation for the Real Estate professional photo shoot + buyer showings.

We packed up the toys the children wouldn’t need (nothing better than getting a jumpstart on packing!) & purchased decorative baskets to easily store the toys they wanted to keep out during the selling process. This made for easy + organized clean-up for both the parents AND the kids! 🙌🏽

S&E also brought in light accessories for the shelves, art, a new rug, and a coffee table to add the finishing touches to this room.
