It’s been a long ass week: you’re burnt TF out, annoyed at the world, and kinda wanna cry. You want to do a little retail therapy with a $20 budget because you definitely deserve a ✨lil’ treat✨after all the bu****it you’ve dealt with - but everything is so fu***ng expensive. But then, you stumble into PBP and you’re delighted to find that most of their colorful & quirky goodies are under $10.
I know, I know, you might have read that and thought, “Sam, that was cringe” but hey, it’s also true. A goal I have always had for my brand & storefront is to never sell anything over $50.
With the cost of every.fu***ng.thing. going up, I still believe that we all deserve to treat ourselves. No matter if that is with a sweet treat, that $10 iced latte you’ve been dying to try, or some colorful stationery. Something I always remind myself is that joy is an act of resistance. If we are all sad and depressed, we can’t show up for ourselves and our communities.
And joy comes in many forms, which can include spending money (bonus points for spending money with small businesses that share your values).
I’ve seen a lot of discourse on social media that it is getting harder and harder to support small businesses since our products and services tend to be higher than the corporate overlords. There are many reasons for this, (which can and will be its own separate post), but this is why I put in a lot of work into making sure someone with a $10 budget can walk into my store and walk out with 2-3 items.
So, I went on a lil’ shopping spree in my store and curated 6 different bundles of goodies you can get with a $20, $15, and $10 budget. And yes, these totals include taxes because we still need to pay those (barf).
Anndddd let me know if you want to see what you can get with bigger budgets ($30, $50, $75+) because, bitch, it’s a lot.
I hope you’ll pop into my tiny slice of Chicago to discover bursts of color, relatable humor, and joy! (Don’t worry, if you’re not in Chicago, you can get all these goodies online too!)
