Been a super busy bee the last few weeks. Lots of new classics put out tonight (sorry no Odyssey). The next several days I’m picking up a huge local history collection, another carload of Easton Press classics, and an indeterminate (possibly very large) sci-fi/fantasy collection. So if your TBR pile is dangerously low, it’s a good time to pop by.

Some wonderful Victorian Chatterbox copies. These are considered early juvenalia, but it’s hard to imagine anyone under 30 reading these for anything other than the pictures. HOWEVER, the illustrations are first rate and profuse (in the hundreds). Each copy also contains equally compelling and numerous stories across just about every topic. In short, they’re impressive reminders of the Victorian urge to be universal generalists as I see it. $20 each.

New books are nice and they’re even trying to reproduce some of the old artistic methods of book design. But come check out the originals. The feel in your hand can’t be reproduced by cheap materials printed in China. This is part of a truckload I added last night. Beautiful turn of the century volumes all priced cheaply.
