Sometimes the message picks you. 😂

HOPE. Great things are coming.

After a week that included some unexpected changes of plans, these two sitting next to each other felt a little too on the nose.

So that's what we're carrying into the weekend:

Apparently 20 years of drafting experience doesn’t disappear just because you change careers. 😂✏️

Today’s design department: a #2 pencil, lined paper, one purse sketch, and a bear cup providing creative supervision. 🐻

I’ve been playing with ways to give some pieces I already have a whole new personality—scarves, layered details, a little movement, and just enough extra without making them too much.

Because creating something “new” doesn’t always mean starting over.

Sometimes it’s looking at what you already have and thinking…

Okay, but what if I did THIS? 👀

Now I need to see if the real thing looks as cute as it does in my head. 💕

Apparently even my drink needs accessories. 😂🧸

This little bear is one of my personal straw charms, and I love how something so completely unnecessary can make an everyday thing so much more fun.

That's the thing about tiny joys — they don't have to solve a problem.

Sometimes their entire job is just to make you look at something you use every day and think,
“Okay, that's really cute.” 😂💗

The bear charms have been one of those little ideas I've kept playing with since Harborfest, and I have more plans for them coming to Splash of Charm.

Because apparently the bears aren't finished with us yet. 👀🧸

I would like to formally report that I have been allocated approximately 14 inches of my own bed. 😂

Apparently when you provide the house, the bed, the blankets, the toys, the treats and around-the-clock service, your reward is…
the edge.

Meanwhile, Ku’hai is sleeping diagonally like she has a mortgage payment due.

And because I already know somebody is going to ask about the metal rail 😂 — it's there to keep Kona safely ON the bed while she's still healing from surgery, not to keep anybody locked up. Ku’hai just happens to be enjoying the accommodations too. 🐾💗

Honestly, this may be the most accurate representation of “Add comfort to your chaos” we've ever posted.

She has the comfort.
I have the chaos. 😂

And I loved them enough that I'm thinking they deserve a place at Splash of Charm beyond the Charm Bar.

Yesterday was a little disappointing.

I found out a market we were getting ready for was canceled — along with the rest of the markets at that location for the year. And for a minute, it took the wind right out of my sails.

So last night I made myself a little pick-me-up. 💗

Nothing complicated. Just some soft colors, a little texture, a few pretty beads and tiny hearts clipped onto my everyday bag.

And today I brought it to work with me.

Sometimes comfort really is that small. Something completely unnecessary that makes you smile when you look at it.

Apparently I needed that today. 🥰
