I’ve been asked a few times why flowers mean so much to me.
The truth is…
It’s never really been about the flowers.
It’s about what happens to me when I’m with them.
My shoulders relax.
My thoughts slow down.
My breathing gets deeper.
The constant mental checklist that follows me everywhere finally grows quiet.
This garden has become more than a place where cosmos bloom. It’s become a place where I remember who I am beneath the responsibilities, the expectations, the deadlines, and the noise.
Standing among these flowers reminds me that my worth isn’t measured by how much I accomplish or how many problems I solve. The flowers aren’t striving to prove themselves. They simply bloom exactly as they were created to.
I think that’s what God has been gently teaching me.
He created beauty that asks for nothing in return. Maybe moments like these are His invitation to slow down long enough to receive that same kind of grace.
Maybe that’s why I grow flowers—not just to share bouquets, but to create the same feeling they’ve given me: a moment to breathe, to slow down, and to remember that beauty still exists.
So if you’ve been carrying more than anyone realizes, I hope you find your own place to exhale. A place that quiets your mind, steadies your heart, and reminds you that peace isn’t something you have to earn.
It’s something you can receive.
Mine just happens to be a field of cosmos. 🌸🤍
