Update on the ghost binding… 👻

If I manage not to damage the very delicate spalted white oak binding while moving it around the shop, this is what it will look like once installed.

A simple detail that looks good when it’s done but takes some planning.

New achievement unlocked… persimmon.

I’ve never worked with it until now and I’m impressed. It mills really nicely, the fret slots cut clean, and this bridge came in at right around 20g.

Practicing awe…

Spent the last week out west with both new and old friends, learning what it takes to make guitars at the very highest level.

I have a high motor. It doesn’t take much to motivate me to move forward.

But this wasn’t motivation.

It was more like filling a reserve of inspiration that I’ll be drawing from for a long time.

Fortunate. Galvanized. Humbled.

Follow the steps to choose your material and send over your SVG. If you don’t have time to do the markup for engraving and cutting, no problem. Send the file anyway and I’ll help you out. ✌️
