September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. I know all of us know a child who has fought or is currently fighting cancer. Cancer is never easy, but I am truly amazed at how tough kids are when going through something as had as cancer. I want to help raise an awareness for all our little fighting warriors.
Sharing the LOVE and spreading joy is something I want to do daily with my book business...but NOW you can join me in a BIG way!!!!! Starting today, until Sunday, September 13th, I’m leading a Cuddle Bear Drive.
For only $25, you can provide a story book and plush bear to be donated to the little patients who stay at the Ronald McDonald House at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. This organization provides a home-like life for those kids and families who have to be close to the hospital for the duration of their care. I had an opportunity to prep and serve a meal to the families at RMH, and it was absolutely the most rewarding experience ever. I went to serve and bring a smile to a child fighting cancer only to be tremendously blessed! And I am so looking forward to serving again in the future!
What makes Cuddle Bear extra special is not only will children receive a bear and a book, but Usborne Books & More is a proud partner with the Scott Carter Foundation to help eliminate pediatric cancer. This means a portion of the proceeds from Cuddle Bear is donated to the Scott Carter Foundation for pediatric cancer research. Let’s do BIG things together!!!
