Some moments are just good for the soul.

Today was filled with fresh flowers, beautiful conversations, laughter, and a room full of people who chose to pour a little love back into themselves. Watching each arrangement come to life was a reminder that we’re all blooming in our own unique way.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table at the Care 4 Caregivers event hosted by Tasha Carter Banger. Your smiles, creativity, and positive energy made it special.

Until next time… keep blooming, keep choosing you, and never forget that you deserve beautiful things.

Long Transparency Post, so stay with me!

The hardest part about starting a business is simply… starting.

It took me years to finally take the leap. Not because I didn’t have the talent, but because I was afraid of failing. I spent so much time watching other people create, comparing my work to theirs, and doubting myself. I allowed the enemy to fill my mind with so much doubt that I questioned whether I could ever measure up.

At the very same time, I was constantly praying for God to provide additional income. My prayer was always, “Lord, if You bless me with another source of income, let it be something I truly enjoy, not just another job where I clock in and clock out.”

The answer had been with me all along.

I’ve been creative my entire life. I’m a visual person. I can look at something and recreate it with incredible attention to detail, sometimes even better. But I also have the ability to create things from nothing but an idea. Some of my favorite designs started as something no one else could envision. That creativity is a gift from God, and I no longer take it for granted.

For a long time, I kept asking God to give me something He had already placed inside of me. What I really needed wasn’t another gift, it was the courage to use the one He had already given me. Sometimes we’re praying for God to open a new door, while He’s waiting for us to walk through the one He’s already opened.

Friends had encouraged me for years to start a business. They called on me for projects, asked for my help, and believed in my gifts long before I fully believed in them myself.

Then one day… it finally clicked.

Looking back, I realize God wasn’t making me wait, He was preparing me.

Those years weren’t wasted. They were years of preparation. Every project I helped with, every skill I developed, every word of encouragement I received, and every moment I questioned myself was shaping me into the business owner I am today. God was refining my gifts, strengthening my faith, and teaching me that my purpose didn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

God reminded me that the gift He gave me was never meant to look like anyone else’s. My creativity doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s because my gifts are my gifts. My work is authentic. It’s intentional. It’s created with love. And that’s what makes it special.

The moment I stopped comparing myself to everyone else was the moment I truly began to grow.

One of the greatest joys of this business is knowing that something I create can bring happiness to someone else. Whether it’s flowers, an event, or a special moment, I love creating experiences that make people smile. I’m always looking for new ways to learn, improve, and sharpen my craft because I genuinely love what I do.

Some seasons are busy. Some are slower. And honestly… I like it that way.

It’s a small business, but it’s my business. And I’m proud of what God is building through me, one arrangement, one event, one workshop, and one client at a time. Every arrangement, every event, every workshop, every happy client, and every lesson learned represents a prayer answered and a step of faith. I don’t measure my success by the size of my business, I measure it by the joy it brings, the lives it touches, and the purpose God has given it.

I’m still learning social media (so if you see the same post twice… just like or love it twice! 😂). Every day I’m learning something new, and I’m giving myself permission to grow instead of trying to be perfect.

If you’re thinking about starting a business, this is your sign.

Just start.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to know everything. You don’t have to be where someone else is. Everything won’t magically become easy, but so many things begin to fall into place once you take that first step in faith.

I also couldn’t end this post without thanking the people who have poured into me along the way.

Donna Ellis, thank you for tirelessly investing in me and believing in me.

Denise Williams, thank you for sharing your business knowledge with me since the day we connected.

Nia Slay and Kimmie Beasley, my best friends, thank you for being my biggest supporters from day one. One phone call and you’re already on the road to help. That kind of love is priceless.

Tierra Flowers, thank you for always encouraging me and leading with so much grace and positivity. You have no idea how much it means.

Valerie Rogers, my sister-cousin, thank you for always cheering me on with so much love, even from a distance.

And to every single person who has supported Pretty Little Spaces, whether I’ve created a floral arrangement for you, decorated your event, attended one of my Self-Love Floral Workshops, shared a post, referred my business, or simply encouraged me with kind words, thank you!

I truly mean that from the bottom of my heart.

This business is more than flowers and decorating. It’s part of the legacy I’m building. It’s my retirement plan, but more importantly, it’s a reminder that God can do extraordinary things with an ordinary “yes.” It may be a small business, but it’s my business, and it will become exactly what God intends it to be, in His timing, for His purpose, and according to His plan.

If my story encourages even one person to stop waiting, stop comparing, and finally walk in the gift God has already placed inside of them, then sharing it was worth it.

Thank you all for believing in me, supporting Pretty Little Spaces, and being part of this journey. I truly appreciate every like, share, referral, order, workshop attendee, and word of encouragement along the way. ❤️
