With a

background in Marketing and corporate experience in Marketing and Special Events, I was always either working with graphic designers or part of the design process. When I created all of the materials for our wedding, my husband keep urging me to start a side business, but I always knew that this work could never be "just" a side business. When my daughter was turning 2, I was only freelance consultant at the time and after designing all of her party items, my shop was born. Never in a million years did I think my little "side" business would become my very busy and thriving full time business! Being able to stay at home with my kids has been a wonderful experience and challenging at the same time with a shop that's open 24/7. I always seem to manage to find the time to juggle both home life and the 150-200 clients per month that I service. I absolutely love designing and creating items, especially knowing that my pieces are making other people's events even more special. I have a zillion more ideas in my head and not enough time to list them all! i love chatting with my customers, so give me a shout!

If you are a woman over 30, there is a good chance you’re playing Mahjong or know someone who is.

It’s not about the game. People are sick and tired of being alone. Easy activities like Mahjong and Pickleball aren’t taking off because people have this overwhelming need to do something, they’re getting popular because it’s allowing people to connect with others - something we’ve been missing since 2020.

If someone invites you to play, GO! It might just be the social night you need 💙 plus it’s good for your mental health!

If you’re a mom looking to connect with your people, give me a follow.

If your teen is a high school junior and you want to avoid the senior scramble here are three things that you can start doing right now to make next year stress-free

1️⃣ College Tours: I didn’t realize that tours mostly only happen M-F when school is in session. For the best experience, you want to visit campus when it’s in session so you can get a real feel for the culture/vibe. If you are going on any trips, try to book a college tour if there is a school nearby. Visit schools within driving distance. Try to visit at least 3 different types of campuses to gauge environment and fit for your child.

2️⃣ Follow college related accounts on social media: college financial advisors, prep experts, essay coaches and admissions coaches. There is a ton of information that no one is going to tell you and you will be expecting them to - it’s overwhelming! If you want to be well prepared for the process, start following the experts. By having a good foundation of the basics, you’ll feel better prepared for the process.

3️⃣ Talk about the essay all year long. A lot of students wait until summer before senior year to even start to think about the topics and they end up in writing paralysis. Talking with your student throughout the year about the different experiences they’ve had and things that they could turn into an essay gives them a solid foundation to write.

There is so much that I have learned as a parent about the college process with my oldest child going to college and having no prior experience in this. I am so glad I didn’t wait to start this process.

Should I share more about what I’ve learned?

I saw somebody say that we’re in this loop, and now I can’t see it. Everybody is trying to sell everyone on some course that they promise is going to get them tens of thousands of followers or help them make hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue.

I LOVE seeing people be successful. At the same time, I have noticed that the authenticity has left the room. When thousands of people all start using the same hooks, prompts, and sounds it makes content feel repetitive and not unique.

This is your reminder to just be YOU.

The 1900’s really were something. It’s a miracle we survived with nothing. No endless snacks. No hydration. Also, if you’ve ever been personally victimized by your children saying you are born in the “1900s”, drop a comment below. Mine asked@me what the dinosaurs were like 🦖
