If these walls could talk. 🍑

Long before the vendor tables and the string lights, this building had a different job. Built in 1910, the Fruit Exchange was the beating heart of Colfax's agricultural boom — the place where local apples, pears, and peaches were sorted, packed, and shipped out by rail. By the 1920s, Colfax was one of only 23 icing stops on the whole Pacific Fruit Express line, keeping those railcars cold all the way to market. For decades, this was where the harvest came together before it went out into the world.

Then the orchards gave way to bigger operations down in the Central Valley, and this old building went quiet.

Now it's loud again — just with a different kind of harvest. Instead of crates of fruit, it's vintage finds, handmade goods, and one-of-a-kind treasures, all under the same beams that once smelled like fresh peaches.

The tents are up, the crowd's out, and the hunting has already started. 🏕️

This is what a Saturday at The Colfax Bazaar looks like — sun hats on, strollers rolling, people working their way tent to tent because you really do have to see every table. That rug someone's eyeing? Gone in ten minutes. Those framed pieces leaning against the booth? Somebody's whole living room, waiting to be discovered.

30+ vendors outside, thousands of square feet inside, and a crowd that shows up ready to dig in.

Saturday, September 19 | 8am–3pm
Food trucks. Live music. 30+ outdoor vendors + acres of finds inside.

Grab your hat, bring your cash, and come see what's under the tents this time. 🛍️☀️

Meet Dhana Bella Handmade — bags and totes built by hand, one at a time, by Donna.

"My shop's all grown up now," she says. "I've been sewing for years, and after starting out making pieces for friends and family, I'm excited to bring my work to a bigger audience — meticulously designed bags people actually want to carry."

Galaxy crossbodies, floral totes, checkerboard-rose bucket bags — vegan leather and canvas, out of her own workshop, one seam at a time.

She'll be set up at the Colfax Bazaar, September 19th, 229 Railroad St. Which one's already your favorite?

Meet Father and Son Woodshop — literally a father and son, building custom furniture together in a shop they built from scratch.

"Our journey began decades ago, but it really got serious in 2013," they say. "We started in a one-car garage with basic tools and basic woodworking knowledge. After several different shops, we've finally landed in the foothills of Northern California, where we built our dream shop. We're excited to learn more skills and share them with the next generation."

That next generation is already at the workbench — Dylan's been building his own birdhouses alongside his dad's live-edge tables, sunburst planters, and adirondack chairs.

If you want something made from wood... these are your guys!

Find them at the Colfax Bazaar, September 19th, 229 Railroad St. Which piece would look best on your porch?

Come early for the best picks, stay for the music and the food trucks. See you there. 🛍️🎶

Meet Lunar Landing Dye Co — ice-dyed apparel that comes out looking like cut geodes, no two pieces ever the same.

"Local Nevada County tied and dyed apparel, coming to a market near you" is how they describe it themselves — and September 19th, that market is us.

Tees, onesies, flowy high-low dresses, silk scarves — each one hand-dyed in swirls of teal, plum, and moss that never repeat.

Find Lunar Landing Dye Co at the Colfax Bazaar, September 19th, at the The Fruit Exchange Which colorway are you hoping to snag?

Two hats, two people, and a room that keeps going — lamps stacked three deep, dressers lined up like they're waiting their turn, more to see just around the corner than what's in this frame.

That's what browsing the Colfax Bazaar actually looks like. You never know what you'll find until you're standing in front of it.
